How did elite private high schools get up to $30,000 tuitions?

Because no hard-working parent wants their children to go to a piece of government run public school where the teachers are nothing more than day-care employees you dumb mother a!
    its not the teachers' fault

How to people like that get elected? Her opponents must REALLY suck.
She might not had a opponent to run against. I give her ZERO credit for going on shows trying to explain herself. I saw her on another show and she talked over the host there as well. She is well aware these shows have to go to commercials and just keeps babbling like a ing idiot hoping something sticks that will defend her. Sad.

There is no doubt in my mind the dems will get this healthcare bill passed, whatever it is. I hope Americans will remove as many as the dems (that vote for this) as the can in 2010 and when 2012 rolls around reverse this bull and hope it will be something we can recover from. We have no money to pay for this. It should be that simple. People should be able to understand that. Lots of people would love to have bigger cars, nicer homes, go on longer better vacations, etc (you fill in what you want but can't afford).. but know they don't have the money to have these things. That is the biggest reason our country is in the trouble we are in. We lived outside our means. Our credit and housing businesses are prime examples of living outside your means. This Obama character wants to continue this trend. ing crazy.

She knows her cons uents (in this case, the heart of Houston's third ward) and what they want to hear, same as most any sort of long term in bent.

"Nobody watches MSNBC -- but look at what I watched on MSNBC!"
The numbers aren't in for the Culberson appearance but, here they are from the time slot on Wednesday, the night of the other Youtube video:

    6PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
(FOX) Special Report with Bret Baier– 1,788,000 viewers (385,000) (769,000)
    (CNN) Situation Room—610,000 viewers (162,000) (247,000)
    (MSNBC) Ed Show—481,000 viewers (93,000) (239,000)
    Mad Money—182,000 viewers (a scratch w/ 46,000) (102,000)
    Prime News — 247,000 viewers (101,000) (164,000)

I'd say Congressman Culberson has a point.

For those too lazy to watch the video, here's what he said:

“You know, Lawrence, for your listeners, you’re illustrating why MSNBC’s viewership is in the tank because you don’t allow your people you’re interviewing to answer questions. And, you know Lawrence, this is why Katie and everybody else is going to Facebook, everyone’s going to the Internet because why listen to MSNBC when you won’t even let the people you’re interviewing answer the question?’’
I think we're finding over-the-top liberal cable television peaked last year.

All the talking over the guests aside, the type of questions the guy asks are the news equivalent of asking "do you know you're gay?" and demanding a yes or no answer.

I'm in favor of repealing Social Security and allowing my employer to pay me that money so I can invest in my own pension and retirement fund...well, increase my contributions to my own private retirement fund.

    ...and repeal Medicare.
I believe the private market could find a better solution to indigent care than has the government waste, fraud, and incompentence-ridden Medicare or Medicaid, for that matter.

First off Neo-Poop... Not many of us on the right here are neocons. Using the word wrong shows your lack of intelligence, and I almost didn't reply because you asked for noecon responses.

I'll agree it is a mild form of socialism, and is expensive. However, it is meant as an insurance, and that's why there is a cap on how much someone pays into the system. These caps have been removed on medicaid, and liberals are still trying to remove it on social security. Keep it up lib s, and you will have a fight on your hands. I used to get my last few paychecks with X-Mas a bonus because I maxed out paying in the system in late October to Mid November. When the rate is a few hundred a paycheck, it's a nice X-Mas bonus.

It doesn't follow the general tax system, and I won't ask for it to be repealed until liberals make it such that the poor stop paying into it. I'm sure other conservatives feel the same. As long as it operates more like the insurance it started out as, let it be.

One fix for it is to keep the system at least near what it is, but raise the rate on it. Everyone can pay an extra 1% without significant changes in their livelihood. Afterall, HB3200 is asking to add another 8% as a payroll tax. What's another 1%?
