    Mex is right.

He's not the reincarnation of Gale Sayers or "the best player to be drafted in the last 10-15 years" like ESPN made him out to be. There's no way he would've lived up to that kind of hype. But he is still in the upper echelon of players when it comes to gamebreaking abilities

I agree with the 2 posts above me. Reggie Bush is a ty full-time running back, but as a multi-purpose guy in the mold of Dave Meggett or Eric Metcalf, he's still pretty damn valuable to a team.

Is he a bust considering the hype? Yes. But he doesn't "suck" and he's still a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

He hasn't lived up to the #2 pick...BUT he did score 9 TD's in 10 games. I'll take that any year over the course of 16 games.

He is a guy I would definitely want on my team.
exactly, just b/c he isn't what people want him to be doesn't make him a bust let alone a bad player. he's a good player, when healthy, far better than vyoung. i agree though, the 2nd pick was too high...more of a mid to later first rounder.

btw, whats up with lol USC and lol USC players in the nfl? makes it look like the thread starter doesn't follow or know anything about the NFL or CFB.

He's a bust.....don't tell me the Saints planned on using the 2nd overall pick on a punt returning/3rd down specialist.

He will be the full-time starter pretty soon. He is a really good back.

Reggie Bush is still an excellent all-purpose player. He's a decent change of pace back (as we saw when he was paired with Deuce), he's an excellent receiver, and a very good return man.

He just isn't a full-time back. He can't handle a 20-25 carry load. Which most of us thought he could. He's a bust considering the hype, but he's still a pretty good player. Any team would love to have his home run hitting abilities.

    I actually agree with this.

Having said that I dont think he is a 1st round pick, much less top 3 overall.

    +1

Really, all three, Williams, Bush and Young continue to be overrated.

    Its stupid.

But, if used right Bush could be a weapon, just not in the mold of Gayle Sayers like everyone said he was going to be.

you, name-calling child. I was being serious.

I'm quite sorry they let the trolls out of their dumbass forum long enough to start sarcastic threads that everyone is supposed to pick up on.

Youre in an ST cliqué that thinks "lol" threads are even relevant or that the rest of the forum will "get it".

Maybe, I dont know, maybe I was actually asking a question, bag.

Man.. you again for posterity, ..

3rd down specialist? Stop making stuff up now. Pierre Thomas is the 3rd down back.

Starting this season the roles will change. Pierre Thomas is now their workload guy and Bush is currently the backup, with Mike Bell breathing down his neck.

Bush could be a workload guy if he had to be, its just that he's so dynamic that Payton tries to use him in many different ways
