Hoopsworld = FAIL....these are the same people that said the Mavs are worse off by starting J-Ho at SG and should really consider Matt Carroll to be the Mavs SG

it would be a steal of a deal if the Mavs got Jax for Howard. Jax is more clutch, more savvy, and a very smart player who can adapt to different systems. Josh Howard once was a good player, but now he just settles for jumpers. He's also legally re ed, so this would be a great move for Dallas.

Um, the same Hoopsworld that speculated Karl Malone was signing with the Spurs and posted it as an inside source when they heard the Spurs were calling a press conference... a press conference that ended up being about retiring Sean Elliott's jersey.
What bothers me is the fact that Artest was masking his true demeanor (until the beer was tossed), thus taking a low & deceitful tact. It not only escalated the incident but exposes Artest and his pathology.
Grown men in physical altercations is just vulgar & ugly.
It's why professional rassling is so accepted & popular. It gives the populace the fantasy of the altercation with the assurance & security of civility. They know going in that its fake, and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Since the Mavs are over the lux tax threshold and have been for some time and will be for the forseeable future, Cuban would essentially have to pay $72 million over the next 4 years for SJax's services. I doubt this happens. If you bring him in, one of the Jax/Marion/Josh trio is going to be sitting on the bench a lot more than they like. Chemistry problems would ensue.
