Break it into pairs and plot on an x,y graph. The pairs being (1, 4), (4, 2), (2, 8), (8, 5), (5, 7) and (7, 1). These pairs form an ellipse. Now you can do the same with the two digit pairs (14, 28), (42, 85), (28, 57), (85, 71), (57, 14), (71, 42).
