These people didn't vote for democrats...
"These people" didn't vote Republican either. How do I know?

I was one of them. I therefore represent the entire hundreds of thousands.

You keep saying this - do you really think our elected officials shouldn't pay attention to anyone who didn't vote for them? Aren't these Congressmen (and women) supposed to represent their states or their districts?

If they keep up with that at ude, they won't have to worry about paying attention to anyone but the person handling their unemployment claim!

First of all, who first used the 12 year old photo? Was it a whacho pundit, a "tea-partyer", or a liberal to discredit the effort? Someone please answer that.

Now I do feel stupid myself for not spotting the inconsistencies. The "promise keeper" photo has a definite evening shadow and the 912 event has a shadow hours earlier, closer to noon. I usually spot such things.

Still, the valid photos show the event to be at least 500,000 people.

So you want someone to look through the entire internets for you?

    That's a shame.

Based upon your vast knowledge of crowd estimation and your year of experience estimating crowds, right? If you require us to track down the first posting of that photo, we require you to state your crowd estimation experience.

I'm pretty sure the official estimate was put at 60-70 thousand by the DC fire department http://littlegreenfootballs.com/arti...0-70000_People --- still a lot of people.

    Liars suck.

Particularly pisses me off, because, as I've mentioned a couple of times, my Mom went and marched, and was all excited that she had been a part of "something."

    She might have been.

But now, because of assholes; the "event" is not the story; the exaggeration of said event is.

Also looks as if significant "playing" of people is, indeed, afoot. One can believe that they are part of a "grassroots" effort, and feel they have made an independent choice; when, in fact, they are getting worked by powerful, knowledgeable, people.

Probably happening to both sides. religion being the opiate of the masses; it's politics.

I am glad you can see the light.

If you read the source article, that's how many stayed and marched after the event.

What if only one in ten who attended the event marched afterwards? I have never seen a long event where more than a small percentage stay and march afterwards. Have you?
approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people flooded Pennsylvania Ave, according to the Washington DC Fire Department.
The 912 event was not on Pennsylvania Ave. Just the march after was.

Cmon WC, why limit it to one in ten? Why not only one in a million?

Then you could estimate the march at 70,000,000 people! That's HUGE!

    Ha. Ha...

I haven't a clue how many marched, but it wasn't anywhere near the full attendance. Just keep that in mind.

Would you march for a couple miles or more after being spending hours standing up, and probably thirsty? How many people you think do?

1 in 10 is an arbitrary number. I think it's safe to say no more than 1 in 3 marched, and that placed the crowd around 200,000. 1 in five, about 300,000.

By the looks of the valid photo, I'll stick with my original assessment of 600,000.

The first video of the following link says the crowd goes all the way back, one mile, to the Washington Monument:

Protesters in this country make us an easy target to be ridiculed. San Antonio is loaded up with the anti-nuclear morons. Yes, they are morons.

If you watch international TV shows, like the Chasers they ridicule people from San Antonio frequently. The city has been featured on the "Are Americans stupid?" segment

I can't wait for the clips from this tea party to be broadcast. I'm betting someone poses as someone crazy, someone who says barack obama was sent from a negro planet to impregnate our white women and gains a lot of cheers.

Ever see Jay Leno do his "Jaywalking" segments? LA isn't exactly overpopulated with intellectual giants.

I agree. It's hilarious and sad.

Most of them in SA are part of EnergiaMia. You can find them protesting at CPS headquarters and meetings. I've talked to a few, most of them have degrees in art, believe in witches, etc.

The majority of those are tourist types.

People from LA are very much a shallow, stupid type of people... but that segment is probably about half tourists.

I'd think the khaki cargo shorts would cue you.

I think the argument nuclear power is unsafe is way less credible than the argument that the amount of water nuclera power requires. especially for a drought prone region as S Texas.

With that being said I'm pro-nuclear power.

So is this thread from Super girl or the Obama girl. The left seems to have trouble seeing past the end of their noses. They are taking their lead from the Whitehouse that thinking for yourself .

reporter: Sir what is your opinion of the crowds surrounding the whithouse.
Obama: Crowds what crowds I don't see any crowds.

Sir: what are your thoughts on the tea parties.
Obama: tea party? what's a tea party?
