Thanx duncan228!
Best part of the article: Oberto living in a RV at Canyon Lake. I love that. I'm sure it was an incredible RV, nonetheless it reminded of the SNL Chris Farley skit... a "guy in a van living down by the river".
Thanx duncan228!
Oberto would still be on the team if his rebounding rate didn't fall off a cliff last season -- whether it was due to a lack of effort or age robbing him of his last ounce of athletcism. His 2007 championship run will always be remembered though![]()
Absolutely. No one can deny the man is a winner. He's done it at the highest levels and he's surely impressed me many times over his tenure in SA.
Sadly, Oberto was a guy the Spurs needed to step up and whether it was his heart condition ruining his chances at minutes or a future here, or anything else, who knows. He could have been a big help in the PO though when we needed a role player to step up, instead he was riding the pine and had fallen out of the rotation. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him now - whether he's still an able body or not.Oberto would still be on the team if his rebounding rate didn't fall off a cliff last season -- whether it was due to a lack of effort or age robbing him of his last ounce of athletcism.
Wizards would benefit from role players with high bball IQ and who don't need consistent touches like Fab. Best of luck to him![]()
