    Question:
WHEN DOES DUCKS EVER HAVE A POINT?

Answer:Never, because his posts give us the answer...he really doesn't know about basketball.
sadly, there are some arguments made on this board where you can extrapolate out the poster's knowledge far beyond the game of basketball.

what's crazy is the Spurs were 36-12 with him playing. if they had the same winning % for the rest of the 34 games, they would have won sixty games. adding Jefferson, McDyess and Blair, the Spurs can definitely reach 70 wins this year. i don't think they will, but the fact that it's not out of the realm of possibility (well, imo) shows how great this team can be.

    36+12 = 48 <> 44

    Hey Jeff, do math much?
The Spurs were 36-12 with him in the lineup last season. They were 23-20 without him, including five playoff games.
In fact, the Spurs were 32-12 with Manu and 23-20 without him.
So Manu played 44 games with the Spurs last season.

    over 10 million a year
most players making that play 40 plus minutes a night
he has alot to do in his 25 minutes a game
He has already done everything & more we could ever ask of him. After TD, Manu is the reason we have multiple championships. He deserves to finish his career in SA & the Spurs need to show the rest of the league how we operate, by doing the right thing & extending Manu.

    over 10 million a year

he has alot to do in his 25 minutes a game
    # of players that averaged at least 40 minutes per game in 2008-09 = zero
that's 2007-08 and there are only three players.
    ok 40 is high
    35 plus minutes a game
In the year you cited, manu averaged 31.0 mpg. That was 86th in the NBA. Parker averaged 33.5 mpg and was 68th. Duncan averaged 34.0 mpg and was 64th.

    So what was your point?
that is why I said maybe 40 was high 35 plus minutes
if you read the post above
Duncan has averaged less than 35 mpg for the last 5 seasons.

Parker has averaged less 35 mpg in all 8 seasons of his NBA career.

    So what is your point?
how many minutes did he manage when it counts
    NONE again
    Again?

He missed the 2009 playoffs. He played in every Spurs playoff game in all previous seasons.

    Um, Ducks? You got......

Ginobili spent most of what North America would call summer at home in Argentina, where the seasons are flip-flopped and winter comes in May.
in an article about Manu. definitely on purpose

Nicely said and I agree 100%! Manu is a world class athlete and he should be treated as such!

I have a feeling that this will be a great year for him (knock on wood that he stays healthy and hopefully all those ankle issues are gone now). He seems really motivated and pissed off in all the interviews so far that I've heard him do and knowing that his future comes down to what he does this season with it being a contract year I think he'll do fine.
