    Surely the State of Texas has granted a divorce to someone married in another state who would be considered too young to get married under Texas law. Would not the State of Texas be doing the same thing here, granting the end of a marriage that could not have occurred in Texas in the first place?

    Hm.. should be interesting. I would think the explicit ban on same-sex marriages in the state cons ution would override any implicit promise made by the national cons ution.
    Why? Could Texas then enact Jim Crow laws again, as long as they do it via TX cons utional amendment?

    If a straight couple married in MASS can get divorced here, then denial of the divorce of the gay couple IS a denial the FF&C of the US cons ution.

    If this is a ploy, it's a brilliant one.
