You admit you have an obsession with pre-pubescent boys.
only when they become public embarassments.
You admit you have an obsession with pre-pubescent boys.
I'm happy I'm not a pre-pubescent boy. I'd have to be worried about hopes4dopes sending me naughty pictures of himself through PM. Glad I dodged that bullet.
You'll know you've made the grade when he gives you a pet name.
His pet-name for me is actually the little boy shtick. Maybe I should take it as a compliment cuz it also seems to be a fantasy of his.
He calls me precious.
Ugh.
well you are.
Does he know you're not a young boy? Filling him in on that might get him off your back.
I won't swear that micca knows anything. He mainly just spouts off. He disdains topics and hates on posters even worse. Hate is what he's mainly about.
I actually have 4 grown children - and all 4 are productive members of society and just as conservative as I am. And - my youngest son is currently serving in the Air Force, and the older two sons were also in the Air Force.
We are a very patriotic family - God, Family and Country!
I commend that. However, believing the POTUS calls a cable news station to ensure they fact-check late night comedy isn't so much conservatism as it is being a crazy person.
Being conservative is fine. I just hope they think for themselves.
I never said Obama called CNN. But I heard a montage this morning of all the news outlets that were commenting on the SNL skit - and all of them were very disapproving - and the comments were very similar. So it doesn't seem that farfetched to me that someone from the administration would put out the talking points and let the media know they're not happy with the skit.
Well that's what all conservatives are about just look at us with our shwastikas at the tea parties. Where as dolts like you and that twit Shasta are full of an enlightened love for mankind.....well some of mankind, the part that agree with you.
You heard a montage? What news agencies were represented in said montage? Who put together said montage? I think I know the answer to the latter.
I've definitely noticed a growing frustration with Obama during typically left-leaning satire programs recently. At the very least, it's interesting... especially the awkward studio audience reactions.
It's called manufacturing consent..the guys that manufactured the myth of the messiah used the press to do it with, they must now us the press to maintain the myth of Obama.
whereas you post other peoples opinions and then try and hope some of there questionable brilliance rubs off on you ...it doesn't. then you grab a banner and say Oh what smart boy am I.Now if that ain't precious what is.
Actually, I more hope it will rub off on others.whereas you post other peoples opinions and then try and hope some of there questionable brilliance rubs off on you ...it doesn't
This is a current affairs forum, micca. Posting someone else's opinion and then holding it up for praise or ridicule is routine. For many of us anyway.
For you it's more like the stall in a public restroom.
Except Fox, I assume.
I'm not saying CNN isn't hypocritical to prop up Obama in this context when they went so far as to laugh along with Palin's mockery. But the idea that this administration controls that in little meetings with mainstream media? Yeesh.
Actually, Crookshanks sounds less and less crazy the more you post. And if you really want to get the most out of the metaphor, I would call it "manufacturing mystique." Little more poetic.
It makes sense to me that SNL is finally doing some harder satire on Obama. As someone mentioned, the far left is upset with him because he hasn't been as liberal as they wanted him to be with respect to Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.
The surprising thing to me is that folks on this forum are not deliriously happy about SNL taking him on. It undoubtedly means that the proverbial 'honeymoon' is well and truly over, and that he will no longer be treated with kid gloves by those who make their living from plitical satire. So what? Isn't that what the right wing wants?
I never thought that he had the depth of 'love' that some on the right feared. I have always thought that the positive, even rock-star status he enjoyed for a while was attributable to what he WASN'T more than what he was. That is, he wasn't mean, he wasn't old, he hadn't had all his dirty laundry aired in public...so people were in love with the idea that he might actually be as different as he promised them he was. Of course he is not.
He is...wait for it...a Politician!!!
Mostly, I think, people wanted to get behind somebody different, and he fit that bill. Now, he is what he is...a good or bad policy guy (depending on your world-view), but mostly another politician. For those of us who had that figured out fairly early, it is no particular loss, and I look forward to some good satire.
For those of you who are convinced of a vast left-wing media conspiracy, however, I would mention this: I have heard that there is medication available that wil alleviate some of that manifestly paranoid angst.
Best way to get over the manifested paranoid angst is to just quit caring.
