The thing that pissed me off most about that incident was Diaw getting suspended. I hated Diaw at the time after the extremely lazy season he had, but he didn't deserve a suspension. That rule was made to prevent brawls, Amare's actions did indeed escalate things, but Diaw ran onto the court to cool things down.
Diaw becoming the featured scorer for one game could have potentially been an upset, whenever Diaw was given consistent touches against the Spurs, he was really productive. Shoulda woulda coulda, the one thing I never really understood in that whole thing was Diaw's suspension.
