Only about two people on the board will get this, but maybe the best projection for Blair is Paul Silas.

I still like the danny fortson comparison
Yeah if he doesn't fall in love with the Vegas buffets like Fortson did I agree, Fortson was a pretty damn good player when he entered the league with Denver.

Blair is a tad taller than 6'1". Just a tad.

I don't see Blair firing 3 pointers any time soon. Find a new comparison.
yeah LJ could stop and pop a 3 no sweat.

Carl Landry is the best version of small power forwards in the NBA for present and many seasons to come.
Paul Millsap is better by a mile.

He's already more polished than Larry Smith, who was a pretty great rebounder. Larry Johnson is a ridiculous comparison, as is the statement that we're at the end of the "small power forward era". What? Power forwards now play like small forwards. No one wants to play with their back to the basket other than Tim.

The way he rebounds and puts it back so easily reminds me of Charles Barkley.

Of course, he doesnt have near the explosiveness of the Chuckster, but he Blair seems to have great timing on his jumps.

I made the comparision because they got the same strength and agility under their big body.

He reminds me of Tractor Traylor.
You could be right in the sense from a talent standpoint that he is probably who Tractor Traylor would have been had Tractor taken basketball serious.

The time of undersized power forwards has already been over for long. LJ as well as many other short power forwards like Charles Barkley, did own their reputes in their times but such times are already in past form IMHO. Elton Brand might probably be the last short PF to deserve as much respect as his predecessors and he's already slumped a lot from his prime. It's safe to say the 99' No.1 draft sucked major ass in the past 2 seasons and he isn't expected to launch a strong bounce considering his age. Carl Landry is the best version of small power forwards in the NBA for present and many seasons to come.
all you have to do is look at blairs rebounds and points, i think if the time for undersized s.f was over, he wouldnt be able to score double double's but since hes throwing around your man landry i'd say he has a shot of making a name for himself in the nba. theres no debating this when his numbers are here and hes playing in the ing nba!!!

Larry Johnson was a 3-point shooter, you've got to be kidding.
After LJ lost his athleticism after undergoing surgery, he changed his game to being a 3-point shooter. I lived in NYC city at that time and that is what he had become when he played for the Nicks. He also played very close to the ground.

Is he like Blair? Yes maybe after the injury but only at post plat. That is, he had to use skill and his body rather than athleticism.

I was watching 99 finals a couple days ago when I found Blair is very similar type of player compared to Larry Johnson.

Physically, both are 6'1, Larry was 250 lbs, Blair is 260 lbs(since he lost weight in summer). Both have broad shoulder and are strong as ox, based their games on strength and power but not on jumping and versatility.

Besides, they've got very similar post moves, soft hands, and toughness.

He's Not Millsap, for he's lack of atheleticism. He's Not Charles Barkley, for he doesn't have that range and jumping. I hope Pop would not just make him a Malik Rose type of player, IMO he's got the potential to be next Larry Johnson. I'm just realistic.
    Hopefully not.......

Blair is 6'5.75" without shoes, 6"7.5" with. He's got better rebounding instincts than Grand-ma-ma did.
