I'm 25 and I'm moving back in with my parents next weekend. It's going to be awful. I took a job in Chicago, but I don't start until the first of the year, so I figured I better put my condo on the market so I wasn't stuck playing for 2 places- well, it sold much quicker than I expected and I couldn't find a month to month lease that was worth my while.....so Its back to the old bedroom! I haven't lived there since Senior year of high school. THat said, it will be pretty nice to live without a housing payment and expenses that go along with it for 3 months.
i just moved back in at age 26

i was 18 when i moved out for college to san antonio, moved to houston after and found a job at home, at 23ish i moved to new jersey for 3 years then im back here looking for a job

    18.

That seems like the right time to forge your own path, both for yourself and your parents! At that point you've finished high school, and you're an adult (as far as the law is concerned, anyway - I actually think most people don't behave like adults until their mid/late 20s, depending on the person).

if I had it all to do over again, I would have moved back home after college to save some money. I spent a year of my life after college paying off debt from partying through college, then the year after that I had to work on actually saving money in my emergency fund. So I spent 2 years of my post college life not being able to spend the money I worked in school to earn. I could have moved back in with the folks and knocked out everything in about 6 months, but I was stupid.

All my friends moved home after school for a couple months (or years). My one buddy saved like $20k by living at home, and bought a house last year when the market tanked. That move really paid off for him. He hated living at home for that year out of school, but now he doesn't rent, and put down a nice chunk on a house as a 24 year old.

I guess 18 but I don't feel like I "moved out" because my parents are still my financial support through school.

im 19 my parents are strict about letting me stay out late thats the only thing i hate about living at home besides that they support me having a job and going to school and with paid off the house so I don't pay rent... the ony thing i pay is my $50 cell phone bill so i have about $700 every two weeks for myself with a paid off car just car insurance is up the ass for me $260 a month for full coverage and just paying off my ps3 and the all star game tickets on my credit card

I plan to move out once i get out of college because I live right next door to UTSA where im going to go to college at, so I don't have to buy a dorm or anything, but plan to go to the air force with a bachelors degree in computer science so I say my life is pretty much on track for me

I love San Antonio and will probably and if I could live here the rest of my life

    17. I moved out of dad's place in North Carolina, the morning after high school graduation, and immediately drove the 1200 miles to get back to San Antonio, only to struggle horribly while studying at UTSA and eventually SAC, meanwhile dorking, errr, working at fast food joints. The Navy started to look like an interesting career choice after about a year and half...

I moved out of my parents house when I was 19.

I'm 23 now. My wife and I had to move into my mother-in-law's house earlier this year. We were both laid off at the same time (worked for the same company) and were idiots and hadn't saved anything yet so... yeah. It's been probably the worst year of my life. Terrible idea.

I'm 23 right now and still living with them. After I graduate next year I'll be 24 and move out. I just took advantage of what they had to offer so I can get through school without having to work so much. I actually work around 20-24 hrs at my job now, but this is all for experience that has to do with my career. Very excited about next year!

My parents kicked me out when I was 17.

I was a real asshole growing up. I did I shouldn't have done and finally my parents had enough and threw my ass out. A friend convinced his dad to let me move in to his house so I lived there for about 6 months. While I was living there, my friend's dad kicked him out after they had a nice family fist fight. But he let me continue to live there because I had a job and stayed out of trouble. Well, after I got fired from my job he told me I had to move out because I couldn't kick down money for food & utilities. After living in my car for over a month I convinced my parents to let me come back home. Lived there until I was 20 when I voluntarily moved out.

I moved back home in 2007 when my wife and I separated, then went back to my wife 6 months later. In April '09 I kicked my wife out and we're still separated.

I moved out at 22 after I graduated from college. My parents and I had a respectful relationship and it was never a problem. I understood that I should be mature and let them know where I would be and when I planned to be home so that they would not worry. If I decided to stay later, I would simply be courteous and let them know. It is not about control but about manners and concern for the people with whom you live. I hope you would eventually do the same for your spouse.

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you're asking, but maybe this is what you're looking for-

At the end of my enlistment, I evaluated the options offered to me if I would re-enlist, and compared them to my overwhelming desire to try something else without the burden of answering to a chain of command...so after playing in Spring Valley, California for several months, I came home, chased women, got odd jobs, went back to school, graduated, and went to work in corporate america...and once again found myself answering to a chain of command.

I moved out at 18. Since Dad was taking care of my expenses while I was in the dorms, however, I've only been supporting myself financially since I was 19.
