The loss is okay, it's only game 2 lol.

    BUT FINLEY.

HOLY I'VE BEEN WATCHING THIS GUY GET BURNED, CONFUSED, LOST, AND LIT UP FOR THE BETTER PART OF TWO YEARS.

TAKE HIM OFF. THAT'S NOT AN OVER REACTION.

We start in a hole, and continue in the hole because he earns significant minutes. If we're only going to get offense from him every 5 games, than start him every 5 games, put someone out there that will hustle, play defense, and rebound!

If Bonner and Finley were not starting, this kind of loss would probably be accepted much easier. I think alot of the frustration has more to do with Pop's decision to give major minutes to 2 players that do nothing but shoot jumpers and don't contribute much when their shots aren't falling.

    +1

It's the number of minutes that would concern me if we continue this trend. Tonight was more of a feeling out process for Pop. He was looking for anyone who could contribute, but no one stepped up.

The thing is, Pop took both Finley and Bonner out, after neither were making shots. Still didn't matter, everyone but Duncan were ice cold. Mason, Ginoboli, Hill, McDyess, all of em, as well as Jefferson and Parker. It was like there was a lid on the Spurs Rim. Not worried though. Spurs never seem to do well on b2bs.

The team played worse once Bonner was taken out when we resorted to playing small-ball. That's when the game got out of hand.

That is on Popovich...he should have helped Timmy on the glass by using Ratliff or Mcdyess sooner. Playing small ball when you are getting killed on the offensive glass is just stupidity...
