lol lakers
Ariza, 8 for 10, 21 points? am i dreaming?
lol lakers
Ariza with 21 points at the half. Some nice dunks and three-pointers mixed in there.
I'm liking him on the team. Do miss Artest's funnies though, but oh well.
We can do without the reputation fouls
"21 points in the first half on 80% shooting. Artest scored 30 points just ONCE all of last season with the Rockets. Looks like Ariza get that in just his 3rd game."
Once again lol Lakers
it's just one game, at the very start of a season, against a team not really known for defense. dont go slobbing ariza's knob just yet
If he scores 21 more points in the second half, there will be chaos amongst us
Rockets are a good team, I don't know why people think they will suck this year. They have a shot at making the playoffs IMO.
T. Ariza Trevor Ariza
11-17, 32 Pts
3 Rebs, 3 Assists
no one plays as good against good teams
mlb players that average .300 against good and average pitching
hit about .250 in playoffs
why because they face only good pitchers
Trevor Ariza new career high of 33 points, on 17 shots, in a win over the Blazers. Previous high was with the Lakers against the.....Dallas Mavericks.

You called him an overrated role player. I would have kept this guy over LO. I think I was in the minority.
To be fair, we had a more slower tempo last season, along with a more offensively able group.
you still are. with gasols injury it would have been a rotation of powell and mbenga as our big guys!
No Laker fan wanted to see Ariza go.
But nobody thought paying Ariza $8 mil a year for 5 years was a good idea either. We have been burned too many times with players having a good contract year only to suck it up later (Walton, Sasha, etc.).
At the time, going with Artest is a move most GM's would have done given the cir stances. And besides, we're only 2 ing games in. Lots of basketball yet to be played.
Damn, just saw Ariza's line....nice.
Good for him; still one of my favorite players.
Waddup House, didn't know you were back.
I think the Artest was a good move, however one could say that many other teams have been burned too many times with his erratic ways.
Artest or Ariza, the key off-season move was keeping Odom. Talented bigs are extremely hard to come by, the rarest of all NBA commodities. The Lakers have 3 talented bigs + Kobe --that's what it's about for them, less so Ariza or Artest.
Artest is just as capable of having a great game now and then in the PO. If he's off, just bench him, the Lakers are talented enough to absorb his flaky-ness. As for Artest disrupting team chemistry, do you think Kobe and PJ are going to allow that? In that regard LA is the perfect place for Artest.
I was pumped with getting Ariza and letting Artest go. Ariza is entering his prime and he is quick, smart, plays D, and is explosive on offensive. He drains the 3 so effortlessly and deadly. He can attack the hole and get the and 1. Love him. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!
Thanks LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
