what game were you playing?

the only game i encountered 'cheaters' on was Team Fortress 2, and only the host of the game could mod it. so EVERYONE was cheating if you joined the game. it was a playground where everybody knew

that's gone now though. they fixed it

other than that, i don't remember ever seeing a cheater. only glitchers, and that's the game developer fault because anyone can do it.

My buddy did. He said it was ing ridiculous how many ers cheated. I guess you needed a modded PS3, but it was the same . Aimbot, wallhack, threat detector.

Socom on the PS2. But I think it was a typo on you're part. It was ridiculous. One shot kill, no recoil, infinite health, flying. You name it, they had it.

current xbox 360 is awesome when it comes to this. cheaters don't exist unless the host can mod. in which case, you can just leave and join another game. done

Gears of War 1 had hackers.

Again, modders, and you have to be the host to mod the game. Easy to avoid.

It's not like on the PC, where you can join any server, and turn on your hacks and rage the server. On the 360, you have to host a game to mod it.

This is the MAIN reason I quit PC FPS games. Everyone cheats, and some of the 'top players' try and hide it and pass it off as skill. It's an art form.

There's way less cheating on te 360, but there still is. GTA 4 and CoD 4 are both hacked, if you didn't know. I know for a fact you don't have to be host to hack on GTA. not sure about CoD4

I dont play console FPSs... I dont play on Live/PSN at all, really. Wouldnt know what can and cannot be modded/hacked in the console market.

, you know, I just realized I am paying for Live for no apparent reason. I never go online, save to download new demos and cool bargain games.

Not guaranteed at all. I frequent the same servers with the same clans and the same people with the same skills and the same scores.

Funny thing, the high scores on this server are pretty much the same on any server.

It isnt to say people dont cheat (hardly), but not nearly as many do as one might think.
