It's my sandwich, I'll eat it.
son I have hated on Kobe and Lebron before no doubt ... but I have never once tried to take away from them being in the top 3 best players in the NBA. I hate on them simply because of the ridiculous amount of free throw help they get from the refs. plus ... as much I have to hear on this message board about Paul's "flopping", I think its only fair to return the favor. There are people on this board who actually try and argue that Paul isn't even a top 5 POINT GUARD simply out of spite lol ... I would never take away from Kobe or Lebron like that.
It's my sandwich, I'll eat it.
Sons, the same applies to CP3. Hate him all you want but you cannot deny the talent.
Or, the alarming flaws.
sorry BR, when your still flopping after play has been stopped, thats taking flopping to a whole different stratosphere, more-so than anything Manu or Dirk have done.

CP3 is a great player, one of the top 10 players in the league, without a doubt...but I don't understand the emotional meltdown on the part of BR121-63. Does he really have sand in his vagina over the fact that Paul is correctly perceived outside of 121-63 City as an unlikeable ?
I hate him but I respect the best PG in the league. I don't see why it is a problem. BR you shouldn't give of of what people think and move on. Most important is that 99,9% of the board considers him as the best PG in the league and one of the best player overall.
No serious basketball fan denies his greatness. As much as I can't stand his -ass persona, it suddenly wouldn't bother me if he wore one of these:
He's a . Deal with it, BR.
Lots of good PG's out there. A handful can claim that honor.
The Williams kid in SLC > than Paul.
He gets held back stats-wise bc Sloan is a dictator, but he always stomps that ass head to head. I can't prove it, but I suspect he is better.
Not everything is stats. Williams is a winner. Paul is a loser. It's just the way it is.
In my opinion it depends on the style of offense you want to run. On certain teams Paul would be better and on others Williams is a better fit.
I agree with you there. I've always felt stats only tell part of the story. It's just that Deron's stats are inferior to Paul's, and people always use that as the trump card when saying Paul is better.
I think Paul is better for an up-tempo offense...whereas Deron should be able to develop a post-up game at some point to punish smaller guards, and would be better in a half-court offense.
Nash's defense is bad, but he's never had a big man/shotblocker behind him to clean up some of his mistakes. Magic was a defensive sieve at the same stage of his career. Don't let any Faker fan tell you different. Now, because of Magic's size and wingspan, he wasn't the defensive liability Nash was, but by no means was he a good defender late eighties/early nineties. It just didn't matter as much because the Lakers had a better defensive frontline than anything Nash has had in Phoenix.
Exactly.
BR, it doesn't really matter. Every single time I asked the haters to tell me how Williams/Parker or whoever is better than Paul, they couldn't give me a single decent reason.
Head-to-head, championships, etc. were their responses. Nevermind the fact that those don't make a player better.
Paul, little nut punchin .
I don't think anyone can deny CP3 skills. He is the best pg in the league, but he's still a little crybaby . I would love to have him on my team, but he would still be a little in my eyes, just one I would be cheering for.
son I see what you mean ... its kinda like lazy ass, cross eyed McGrady. I look at him and think "what a joke", but I'm sure most Rocket fans love him.
I guess it's unfortunate that there is not a "Best PG in the Association" trophy... even if there was one CP-3Steps would not be the unequivocal winner... he is a great PG, no doubt- but is he the best in the NBA? what would Nash say? Parker? DWill? , what would the Coaches say? I don't think it would be as one-sided as the OP believes. remember- opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one...
. I agree completely.
I think people just complain because he isn't playing for their team.
Culburn does it because it's fun for him to diminish other people's skill and he feels he is smart enough to come up with reasons to diminish these players. Although he can't back them with any hard evidence or stats. That's just the way he is. Don't take it hard tho BRhornet, he doesn't like Michael Jordan and Lebron James either, so CP3 is in good company. Being ragged on by CUlby is a compliment, he only does it to boys he likes.
As for the dallas fans, they complain cuz he's the mavs killer, and their still pissed they didn't get kobe for dirk. And think about it BR, is there really any other franchise mavs fans can make fun of? Miami kicked their ass, Lakers won more rings than them, SA, they might have beat a few times, but SA still won more rings than them.
As for spurs fans, when NO brought them to the brink of elimination to game 7, there was all respect for CP3 and NO, but now well... It's called fake spurs classyness. This is similar to Kobe's fake good guy personality... Only classy when they win...
As for the rest of the league's fans, they seem to be all ok with it, the few that aren't are just probably bored and want to troll.
