Pipe down little man.
Parker's the best player in the NBA . . . that is what I heard you say once upon a time . . .
So much for YOUR loyaty![]()
#1 only gonna happen if cp3 demands a trade
#2 rondo can't compensate the lack of scoring the spurs would have if they trade paker
#3 calderon is a legit pg,bargnani a decent C/PF but not the material I would expect to get for a player like parker
#4 very intriguing, a younger parker like player + a future star center... I'd do it in a heartbeat but the Nets won't give up a parker-like player + a nice prospect for just parker.
There is no way in the Spurs trade Tony this season.
There we go again. Drama, drama, drama. Some people in here are just crazy when the spurs lose a game.
Thread was posted before the game.
Somebody please use a tranquilizer gun.
no.
he's the perfect backup for Hill.
a game?
I like option 3.![]()
Most of those options are kinda out there.
1 - wont happen cause everyone knows CP3 is better than TP. If their trying to get better, then trading their best player wont help them. Especially trading him to a contender???( i use that word loosely)
2 - Rondo is a better floor general then Parker and knows how to get the most out of the talent on the floor. He cant shoot, but he can break the defense down like Parker also Rebound, pass and defend better than Parker. Rondo is a possible allstar that is an important role player on his team. Plus he is perfect for that team; A team loaded with solid players, KG/The Truth/ALLEN/SHEED. Sheed? I would love to have him. Oh and how many solid Centers do you have that can block shots and shoot the 3?
3 - Calderon as well knows what to do with talented players on the floor. He can shoot better than Parker. His defense sucks tho, Is that a triano thing? Probably. Calderon cant break a defense down consistently, but he has no need to. He simply looks for guys in there spots, which is what the spurs need. Bargnani aka Ill Mago. He gives you solid outside shooting(3pt shots included) and a little bit of an inside game. He can move his feet well, but doesnt get enough rebounds. He is 7feet tall and can block shots which is a plus. His Defense, another product of Jay Triano's system? Possibly.
4 - wont happen. PERIOD
Basically it comes down to option 2 and 3. Would Calderon's defense improve before Rondo finds a consistent jumpshot? thats basically what separates the 2.
PG - Rondo/Hill
SG - Bogans/Manu
SF - RJ/Finley
PF - Duncan/Blair
C - Perkins / Mcdyess
or
PG - Calderon/Hill or vice versa
SG - Bogans/Manu
SF - RJ/Finley
PF - Bargnani/Blair
C - Duncan/Mcdyess
Which would yall prefer? Which would the spurs do if things got really rough, as in no gelling by January?Would the other team do it?
when parker catches on fire this season...you guys who are seriously entertaining the idea of trading him will look like f***ing idiots...and will jump on the bandwagon as usual
its november...
I never jump on Parkers bandwagon. Its either one or the other. Trade Parker for a pass first PG and solid C. Or trade RJ for a cheaper SF and a solid C.
I don't care if he catches fire. I would support him if he widens his tunnel vision. His eyes see only two things on the court. The hoop and Tim Duncan. Other times, he is just looking to be bailed out.
Parker delivers in the playoffs. He gets a free pass.
Manu...you are starting to lose your Rocky aura brotherI used to think you were invincible

Parker doesn't give a about the Spurs.
I want that kid.
