Old man Brown had warned anybody who would listen about Modell in the early '60s, and in the end he was proven correct. Though one can empathize with Modell and his motivations. Cleveland by then was so one horse, nickel & dime. There just wasn't any real cash money, and Modell could see it. I was never completely shocked as I was when that happened. It was surreal.

I don't see how that's true. Do fans of Twilight get as upset when their favorite movie doesn't do well in the box office as when you do when you team losses?
There's a very thin line between passion and delusion when it comes to sports, and in certain parts of the country (northeast) the fans cross that line a lot.
