Waiting for your fancy stat that tells me Bonner is a better rebounder then Pau and Odom combined...
Nope in 3 games back Gasol's rebound rate is 20.5.... much better than Odom, Bonner and McDyess, and right on par with Duncan. But my point was in 3 games, his rebounding would have hardly affected Bynum's numbers, and i just showed you Bynum's rebounding hasn't dropped in those 3 games. (Although im not saying it wont eventually).

Besides, Gasol's rebound rate is normally around 17 or 18, so Bynums rebounding numbers should be safe.

It actually has, if I remember correctly Bynum was leading the league or tied with Noah in rebounding going into that Bulls game when Pau returned at about 12 boards per game and since Pau has been back his boards are already down in the 10's. Bynum is not going to be able to keep grabbing double digit boards a game like the others with Odom and Gasol in there whereas Duncan and Dwight can cause they're the main rebounders on their teams.

In 3 games since Gasol came back, Bynum's minutes...

    24.16 (8 rebs)
    28.37 (9 rebs)
    32.11 (8 rebs)

His rebounding has gone down because his minutes have gone down. If you work out his rebounds per 40 minutes (or whatever per minute stat you want to use) his rebounding hasnt dropped at all.

My initial comparison was based on per minute numbers, so his slight drop in minutes and rebounds since Gasol has come back would not have affected those numbers negatively.

You were saying that Duncan's rebounding > Bynum's rebounding only because of the rebounders who are on the court WITH Bynum are better than those next to Duncan - im just trying to show you that so far, the rebounding next to Duncan has been better than the rebounding next to Bynum.

But with Pau back, Bynum will play less minutes, so of course his total rebounds will drop, but my comparison accounted for those drop in minutes.

Oh, ok by bad. I was talking straight rebounding I didn't realize you were talking boards per 40 minutes.

Bynum isn't a whole lot worse than Dwight. Dwight is extremely overrated.

Do you consider Gasol a big?

I agree Bynum is horrific at recognizing the double.

So i was chekcing my Fantasy Basketball team and i havent noticed how similar the stats of these two were. Not bad considering that Howard is argueably the best center in the league at the moment. Also, Howard is suppose to be superior defensively compared to Bynum. Keep in mind that Bynum also averages 4 mins more per game.

Take it for what its worth:

PLAYER FG% FT% REB AST STL BLK PTS
    Howard .625 .576 11.1 1.4 0.7 1.7 17.4
    Bynum .579 .767 10.9 1.3 0.6 1.7 19.7
    Both are Yao's biitches.
