I know numbers don't tell the whole story, but Leinart was 21/31 with no interceptions.....he can't have been all that bad.

he was also 2-6 at at the start of the game
then 3-9
so after the first quarter he had 4 incomplete passes
Numbers are numbers, the fact is, Leinart was able to successfully lead 1 3 point drive, and 1 7 point drive (AZ's 7 other points coming on a kick return). I'm willing to bet Schaub would be able to produce more than 10 points with Fitzgerald and Boldin at receiver.
And how many points did he have to show for this?
Leinart sucks.
But the D had 99 yards to hold and 3 different 4th downs to stop the ans.
The D ed up plenty but the team isn't designed to score 17 points and hold its opponents below 17.
