I'll never understand the sentiment. If you imagine it, when you become too tired to swim, you sink and breathe in water. It might be 30 seconds of (not that bad) pain as you choke and sink. The end. Sucks, but that sounds better than being burned at the stake or shot.
Dying...the thought of absolute nothingness and every memory of oneself disappearing forever is terrifying.
The cancellation of Ghost Whisperer.
Serious fear? Losing every pregnancy and never having a child.
Absurd fear? Roaches, especially the big ones that fly. I scream everytime I see one.
Death-related fear? Drowning. I have drowning dreams sometimes that are so realistic I wake up gasping to find I've been holding my breath.
Serious fear: Anything happening to my kids.
Stupid fear: Heights. I can go on planes just fine but feel like throwing up when I am on a ladder.
Death related: still a car crash. I really truly believe I will die in a car crash.
In that case, when Fox decides to pull the plug on 24.
Hey, it's not that bad. I broke mine about 5" below the left hip playing football. It's nothing 8 weeks in traction, 8 weeks in a body cast, and 6 weeks on crutches won't cure!
injuries. i've had to have mental therapy to cope with them.
flying roaches? never seen one
probably burning to death
You're a married woman?
I think my biggest fear would be some accident that leaves me paraplegic and deaf/mute but still a 100% active brain with no way to communicate or do anything.
I was waiting for that. I would have called that out a long time ago. the letter a completely changes that sentence.
Serious: Can't really say. I guess not seeing the Raiders win the super bowl.
Stupid: Heights, roaches and rats. Roaches and rats really scare me.
Death: I guess just burning to death.
Oh man I almost fainted reading that!
I've been very blessed in my life, especially where my family is concerned.
We also have a history of living long lives. My biggest fear, though, is that soon I'll start losing them at a rapid pace.
I seriously wouldn't know how to go on if that happened.
They're evil. You think it's a normal roach and just as you're about to smack it with a shoe, it flies around making a weird ratcheting noise. It's enough to make you scream like a girl and piss your pants.
I don't have any real phobias (I'm mildly claustrophobic and afraid of big angry dogs), but I suppose my worst fear would involve something awful happening to my kids.
You have to live in Texas. The are actually called water roaches or water bugs.
I have a creek that is fed by storm drains directly behind my house. It's basically a breeding ground for them. I have to spray religiously every year or they are in the house as soon as week of no rain goes by.
My worst fear is myself.
What Hank said.. that there is nothing after this.
Also pretty much everything that goes with getting old... Teeth falling out.. hair falling out.. needing oxygen.. not remembering who you are or where you are.
That's a pretty damn good answer.. must of missed that post.
