I hope we win on Tuesday just to see that we can beat a good team, I am starting to get worried about the Spurs, we have a nice record but the majority of the wins are against bad teams, not really teams we will see in the playoffs when it matters. Some Spurs fans are still saying the same thing "it's only November" "it's only January". Spurs need to pick it up and become a championship calebar team.

let's get ready to get our ass whooped
    from the LA Times:
for the small portion of practice that was open to the media. Although Gasol wasn't made available to reporters to talk about his strained left hamstring that's sidelined him for the last three games, Coach Phil Jackson hopes Gasol will return for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. "He's doing everything without any pain," Jackson said of Gasol.

I doubt it. The Lakers don't really need this game.

I expect this game to be either super close like last year or the Lakers just own us from the get-go. Even w/o Gasol, Lakers are likely to win.

I just hope that they keep it close, but will be happy with a 1 point win.

Without Gasol playing this game won't determine much. Thats if they win. If they lose without gasol playing it signals the spurs are a long way from getting close to the Lakers.

The spurs have don't done well against LA since the Gasol trade.

I hope the Spurs win. However, I'm not expecting a Spurs victory for the simple reason they can't seem to play well against the upper echelon in the league. What is their record 2-6? That ain't going to cut if the Spurs are going to the playoffs this year. It's troubling but it's still early. Spurs have about 4-5 months to get their act together.

And with the new rule changes I expect a load of posters to be banned from thread starting for a month.
That is actually a good thing.

Bryant: 37 shots...32 points...against Portland. And this guy is some people's MVP?

How his teammates haven't strangled him yet is beyond me.

Without Gasol, the Lakers are around a 45-47 win team -- just like they were before the trade. Contrary to what the edia says, Bryant has not learned how to play team ball. That's the biggest myth in sports today.

So the Spurs better take this one.

didn't realise you can;t have off nights...

Kobe played bad but it happens...most of those shots were in the 4th when nobody else would shot the ball or do anything with it.

rumour has it...gasol could be back.

Without Gasol healthy the lakers are vulnerable and the spurs can even get a win against them now.

pau wont play sunday. i wouldnt be so quick to say its a lakers win. if they dont have health the spurs have a legit shot
    This.

Lakers have shown some kinks in the armor. I expect S.A. to come out strong for this showing. I am actually looking forward to seeing Pops line-up for this game. I'll be at this game

Hoping for a battle. Good luck to both teams and hope for no injuries to any of our players.

well we've been the only team that has consistently been trouble to the Lakers historically so I wouldn't be surprised if Kobe finally gets it together

The spurs have not been any problem to the Lakers since the Gasol trade.

It's more like 2-11 or something along those lines. As far as games against +500 win teams.

Are you going to be cheerleading for Kobe and the Lakers tomorrow, like you usually do?

Actually I find a player such as Kobe even more dangerous having being in a slump. He is one of the top Players in he NBA, the odds are against him having another bad game. Although I hope not, I have a feeling he is going to come out strong and get his game back on track against the Spurs.

Also Players always seem to use the Spurs as their heating up game, and play out of their minds. Even scrub players get in on that...

I will be pulling for the Lakers because with a win especially if Gasol is out, will just be fools gold. The spurs need to add another quality big if they really want to contend this year and a loss will serve better for having that happen.

A win and the fan base will get excited about the roster as it stands then the spurs will be less likely to pull the trigger to add another frontline player.
