i think gms are extra wary about helping out the lakers. the grizzlies have already become the pariah of the nba, the raptors probably don't want to follow suit. if bynum was still on his rookie contract and the lakers had enough expiring contracts + first round picks, then it would be a decent trade. otherwise, a one for one trade is just plain re ed. bynum may never live up to his contract and he's locked up for quite a lot of years.

Cuz they have a 90% chance of losing bosh for nothing this summer anyway, and Toronto isn't exactly the best place to attract free agents. They could do better then Bynum though, that's for sure

Good points, the Lakers are trying to trade it seems for championships. They are smart, plus Bynum has experienced injurys and is not always the most reliable. This trade doesn't make the Raptors any better and GMs should look at the Gasol trade closely, get what value for your player that you can, don't just give your player up for scrubs just to end it.
