don't be ridiculous ... here's an idea though. how about the NBA and the media just allow stars to MAKE THEMSELVES instead of doing everything in their power to create their own for marketing purposes. those extra points received at the line EVERY game by league manufactured stars like Kobe and Dirk off of bull / phantom calls adds up son.
lol you get stupider by the post. How the have you convinced yourself that Dirk is a media star made by the league? When was the last time Dirk was in a Nike commercial? or a Gatorade one? , he isn't even in the NBA commercials. Stern doesn't like Dirk. He is not exciting enough for the casual fans.

Wow...+1. I hate the Mavs with a passion and even I agree with you. The only players who get all the media attention are Kobe, LeBron, and Wade..after them..you're chop liver.

PP is an example of a guy who didn't get the honor of playing for P-Jax.
PP is THAT good. The 1 time he had 'Laker-Like' talent around him, despite his coach, he was able to take a team on his back. Unfortunately, they also were getting 'Laker-Like' calls that season, or more specifically, non-calls on KG's flagrant and standard fouls...

PP has a special place in my heart, along with Reggie Miller, Sam Perkins, Arvydas Sabonis, Ben Wallace, and Shawn Kemp...

Damn, unfortunately I just saw this thread. Otherwise I would have pointed out the same. Pierce gets to the line as will and he was always among the leaders of FTA during the last decade.
