I'm confused.
Did Kevin or did not Kevin throw a missed layup at his team's own hoop to collect a rebound to complete his triple double?
He also said he didn't want his teammate, Westbrook, to beat his scoring record in the Rookie vs Sop re game
Some players like their stats, records, streaks, etc. I don't have much of a problem with stat padding when the game is basically over with especially for respectable rising stars like Durant. Guys like that are still establishing themselves to the average fan.

Apparently, he kept shooting w/ time on the clock, but, ya know, tuh-MAY-toe, tuh-MAH-toe.
I was disappointed that Durant did that tonight as well, but I've seen K. Bryant do that garbage-time scoring routine for about 13 years now.
Bryant is shameless with it. He does it over and over and over and over. Lakers up 14 with 3 minutes left, Bryant has 21.
Game over. Lakers win by 13. Bryant ends up with 30. It's the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. Phil Jackson's diplomatic commentabout it is..."He likes to get his numbers."
George Hill did this his rookie year and I saw not one post on this entire forum about it.
BFD
Baylor's apparently just as classless, as they left Ekpe Udoh in the game to try to get a block for a triple double.
OK. 25 years ago the Celtics committed a bunch of intentional fouls at the very end of a decided game to get Bird shots so he could set a career high in New Orleans.
I love all the REAL basketball fans who appreciate hard work, passion and love for the game …and not jus “plus and minuses”…wateva dat is!
