Dinner w/ Sarver in a GOOD mood would be unbearable enough. Can you in imagine the tension at THIS lil rendezvous?
It sounds like it might have been a new team--they should have called sooner!

Looks like Amar'e''s instincts about the Suns' front office are just as accurate as his instincts about defense.
They're going to have dinner together now? Wow...talk about awkward. "Hey we werent trying to trade you! What are you talking about?!?!?!?"

"You need to stop believing rumors buddy, we were trying to trade J-rich and Barbosa"
@STEIN_LINE_HQ Just filed to ESPN.com: Houston indeed the team that engaged in 11th-hour discussions with Suns on Amare deal. New link/details forthcoming.

And the Suns didn't do it?!?!The proposed deal, sources with knowledge of the talks confirmed, had Phoenix receiving veterans Shane Battier and Luis Scola, multiple draft picks and the expiring contract of Brian Cook for Stoudemire.
If Amare had left, how was Sarver/Kerr gonna roll out another 45 game-winning-team next season? Of course he didn't get traded.
$50 says Grant ing Hill will be back next season too......Nashy will continue to play at a high level of "Damn am i having fun or what?".........and Amare will dedicate another offseason to getting better defensively.
Oh, and making sure OKC doesn't get into the lottery with our #1 pick factored into not making any deal that might bring in any assets that might signal the beginning of a long overdue rebuilding process....
