Carmella went from looking like a to finally becoming one. Maybe he'll get the Carter/Kobe foot under the jumpshot treatment next game.

I'll be shocked if any of them get fined. Buckner was lucky his two teammates threw harder elbows than he did because it would have been his second flagrant. Sad that they have so little class, but that's what bad defensive teams do (See: Juwan Howard)

Did they call Carmello for a flagrant 2 or did they just eject him? It's the ref's call. They can eject you for any reason. Brent Musburger wasn't exactly communicating what was going on in the game.

why are you surprised melo has always looked like a ....especially with the Bo Derek haircut? The only reason he won the NCAA championship was the lack of compe ion in the NCAA (best players couldnt pass SATs and left for NBA).

k-mart has been a punk ever since arriving from Cinninatti high...any one else notice his fade in the 03 finals?

Anyone notice that Carmelo is prettier than his mom?

I know I'm being mean, but tell me I'm lying.

Melo is a punk. Martins a punk. Johnson and Buckner are punks. I am very surprised at this. Denver was my second fav. team but now that I see how they play, I don't like them at all. Carmelo surprised me on the last play. I didn't think he was like that.

this is one i had to put my 2 cents in...

ok...when buckner swang his elbows at manu[no contact] to clear room...it was a no call. why? isn't that a technical foul...(i remember they calling a technical foul on bowen for the same thing during the season)???

robert horry and kmart gettiing into puching, shoving match ...why wasn't it a double tech? [like when bowen and carter got into that little head bumping match] ?

kmart already had a tech..this second one he woulda been ejected right?........

In the Dallas - Spurs playoff series in 2003 Raja Bell threw a clearout elbow at Parker just like the one Buckner threw last night. Bell got called for the foul, went nuts and got hit with a T.

LOL, funny when the wolves played the nuggs last year everyone here pointed to the wolves as the reason there was bad blood between the two.

What do you guys expect from someone who made a movie called"KIll all the snitches".

I think the guy wants to be some kinda gang banger or something.

If this was an IQ between the spurs and nuggets the spurs would have won going away in game one, but I guess we'll have to settle for kicking their ass in 5.

    Section X-Swinging of Elbows

A player shall not be allowed excessive and/or vigorous swinging of the elbows in a swinging motion (no contact). When a defensive player is nearby and the offensive player has the ball, it is considered a violation.

PENALTY: Loss of ball. The ball is awarded to the opponent at the sideline, nearest the spot of the violation. If the violation occurs on a throw-in, the game clock shall not be started.
Looks like they screwed that one up.

On 'Melo's punk ass move: if the league deems it a punch, he's suspended. I'll be surprised if Stern has the balls for it.

And what's gonna suck is one of the three heads (Bucker, Melo, KMart) is going to jack Manu on Monday night.

I just hope that we've got Nazr in there to put whichever sorry er does it down for the count.

Did it bother anyone else that no one on the Spurs came to Manu's defense? The guy got clobbered, and no one even got in the face or shoved a Denver player. That kind of softness really angers me, since Manu was the only reason we won and the only one on the team that brings his nuts to every single game...If 3 Spurs had clobbered Anthony like that, you can bet at least Kenyon would have gotten up in someone. Show some backbone for your fellow player dammit!!

yeah right...lets start a brawl and get half our closing unit suspended...

Spurs are pros and play like pros...they will make their rebuttal statement where it counts in game 4...

i didnt say start a brawl now did i? antoine walker stood up for his teammate when jermaine o'neal threw an elbow at him, and he got suspended for pushing the ref, not his defense of a teammate. it would have been a technical foul at worst for yelling at someone to let them know that kind of has no place in the game

That foul put the game out of reach, why do something to give them a chance at a miracle?

Leave the tough acting antics to the blazers and twolves. Spurs do their share of knocking people around during the games.

Cuz they all ran to see if Manu was okay! His health is more important then pushing Melo or KMart.

Go watch ing baseball or hockey where they do that loser "payback" . You're probably one of those people that thought David Robinson was soft because he didn't or start fights when he got fouled.

Ginobili got his two free throws and the ball, and his team got the win. What good does escalating it do? The Spurs aren't thinking about the Nuggets, they are thinking three rounds past the Nuggets, so what good is it getting someone hurt by brawling with an inferior team? Once again, physical doesn't mean dirty, and being tough means maintaining your composure. If you are bothered that a team doesn't respond to everything then you should watch the Pacers or the Nuggets. Maybe the Devil Rays would be more your style.

    Thank You!!

If you go back and see that play, everyone on the Spurs bench is looking at Manu- they were concerned! If I remember correctly Devin even extends his arms to hold the guys back (but because they look like they want to go to Manu) but Duncan and Bowen are there to make sure he is okay.
