I believe this win is MUCH better than the Denver win...OKC has been playing like a younger and smarter Spurs team, and for our guys to push it to them in the last few minutes of the game was awesome to see. But we've seen these flashes of brilliance before, only to be disappointed.

But at this point, I'll take what I can get of that old "quality Spurs win" feeling.

I really don't think it's a quality spurs win. Maybe in terms of the "there's no way we're losing" yes. But the defense was laughable.

Our small ball was masked by the fact that the Thunder essentially plays small. Plus we caught them on a back-to-back.

It's a win against a quality opponent, and Manu had a great game, but let's not get too excited.

Yeah guys this win means nothing. We're a losing team on the road and we still play games with one big man. We didn't play great defense tonight either--the Thunder missed open shots.

Speaking practically, the best thing for us to do is miss the playoffs and get a lotto pick because we aren't winning anything more than one series should we even make the post-season.

Christ, even your sorry ass has to admit this was one game where Manu was playing on a different level than anyone else except maybe Duncan.
    1. I dont like "ducks" but he's being sarcastic. Better read again.
    2. Spurs D was great tonite. I dont get why you say it wasn't couse it clearly was.
    3. This was Spurs basketball all the way, I, for once, agree with Ducks.

    QFT.

You've seen our starting lineups lately. We certainly aren't trying to win every game. I don't know what the is going on with Pop but if he's throwing games like it sometimes appears, then we need to sit Tim down and quit wasting the last of his effective years. Let him play next year with a more confident Hill, no Jefferson and something that at least looks like it could play power forward or center.

Manu was the difference tonight that's for sure. The D was just OK, Durant didn't get many touches in the 4th. It's obvious that the Spurs are desperate for any W's with the comments made by TD and Manu. I guess we all just have to hope they can carry this momentum forward.

Also it's nice to see Bonner play only a few minutes, Pop finally figured out he can't play D, but too bad he hasn't figured out Finley is toast. I bet Mason is pissed that Fin got all his minutes tonight..

Manu was the difference and when we have that guy we can beat anyone. I thought the team D was good and the energy was high. RJ played well on Durant and got at least 6 boards, which is a of an effort for him.
Don't forget that Finley & Dice missed a lot of wide open shots. The Spurs got a lot of good looks, just were nervous around that long armed team. Once Manu set the tone, the whole team had that confident look that I missed all year.
One of the most satisfying games of the year.

at spursfans arguing on this thread

neither our D was laughable, neither it was great. It was ok, just as it's been the last few games.

Durant did miss some open J's. But it's stupid to say Manu was not the difference in this game. He carried the team and all the players acknowledged that.

Come on! Manu was the difference maker, but there was a solid effort all around tonight. Solid team D, good energy & communication. Lots of guys made big plays. Probably the best game of the year. Hopefully, something to build on.

Some of you people are just tragically stupid.
tragically stupid? what other guy not named Manu made a big play for the spurs in the last 6 minutes???

D was so-so, energy and communicaton was ok, but Manu carried the team. Don't fool yourself. This was not Spurs ball. We cannot keep this up. manu cannot carry the team every single night.

These wins are costing the spurs a top draft pick.
