Anyway it's sad to complain of the refs when you are a Laker.I can expect that from Kobe but it doesn't have sense when you had been playing in Memphis.
The numbers don't lie. You generally get the benefit of calls at home and the Nuggets were given 33 FTs to 21 for the Lakers.
Kobe is 12th in the league in FT's attempted. Vastly inferior players like Kevin Martin and Gerald Wallace go to the line more.
Marc Gasol shoots more FTs per game than Pau. Kevin Love gets almost the same amount of FTs as Pau, 5.0 vs 5.1 a game.

Lakers play a finesse game, that's why the numbers are low. Kobe is not an aggressive driver, but I'd be willing to bet he gets more calls on jumpshots than anybody in the league (and yes, part of that is because he takes a lot of jumpers). Gerald Wallace drives a ton, and he gets hacked on offensive rebound putbacks. Kevin Martin's game is heavily reliant on getting to the line, so he makes an effort to do so every game. Kevin Love plays physical underneath, Pau doesn't, same with Marc.
Ok then that means you are agreeing with Pau, that the Lakers won't get the calls.
Artest is as physical of a player as there is in the league, he frequently posts up in the paint and takes the ball hard to the rim and he isn't in the top 50 for FTs.

It's bizarre the number of fouls Kobe draws when he rarely drives or attacks the rim. You'd have a hard time trying to find another jump-shooter who draws so many fouls like Kobe.

You'd have an even harder time finding someone who gets played as close as Kobe does on the perimeter. He gets fouled on the perimeter because everyone knows he's not driving so they can push up on him.
