Actually Dallas if they stay healthy is now a real threat to beat the Lakers. The Lakers have 2 teams in the West they are worried about and that's Denver and Dallas. People also forget the Mavs don't have Dampier, and now they have the size and offense to give the Lakers some potential problems in a 7 game series. When they got beat by Denver last year they didn't have this kind of depth like they do now.
Let's not break out the champagne and schedule the parade yet, a bit premature, but Dallas is now a threat to win the whole thing.

lol findog makes an OBVIOUSLY sarcastic thread, and the fans of every other texas team start spazzing out and foaming at the mouth![]()
If your talking the 1st rd exit team in 2007, this one isn't that. I am no Mavs homer, but I have watched them play and they look pretty damn good. Haywood and Butler are helping ease the work load that Dirk had to carry in previous playoffs. If Haywood get's injured they would be in trouble though.
are you a ing dip ? he's obviously joking about our rise in the power rankings, not actually sincerely believing that we are a sure bet to win the championship.
but even a bitter spur fan would have to admit that now it's a legit POSSIBILITY, isn't that right son?
thanks for being the voice of reason amidst this crowd of jackasses +1
Haywood and Butler are doing EXACTLY what they were brought in to do, and aside from last night, our defense is looking absolutely GREAT.
lakers still team to beat.
mavs are on same level as nuggz
Exactly, no one is saying that the Mavs or Nuggets are the favorites coming into a series with LA, but anyone who denies that either of those 2 could actually pull it off is just being ignorant. The Nuggets look great and seem to have hit their stride, but the thing about the Mavs is that we are going to continue to improve in every single game until the playoffs begin as we gel. No one has seen what this team is capable of at 100% yet.

Findog: super troll, or sane person amidst a board full of dumbasses?
Irony, look it up.
No other fans but Mavericks fans give a damn about regular season rankings. Greatness is remember by how many Naismith trophies are displayed in the trophy case, not how many regular season champions banners are hanging from the rafters. Sure your team is better this regular season than the Spurs but win it all in the playoffs a minimum of 4 times before you declare the Mavs a better team overall than the Spurs. Sheesh!

Looks like Mavs fans are in the position of Spurs fans in seeking recognition and legitimacy from other NBA fans just a few seasons back. At least the Spurs earned the respect. Spurs have hit 4 home runs overall, Mavs got as far as third base just a few times. Classic little brother big brother syndrome.
Jesus Christ! How many victory parades do the Mavs have each season?
Remember when the Mavericks won their beloved Western Conference Champions banner one season but were too ashamed to unveil it and waited until the next game after playing those same Golden State Warriors who beat them so badly in the playoffs?
Spur, Hornet, and Rocket fans all bonding together around their irrelevant teams.
I walked five blocks from Harwood and Elm to Harwood and Federal to commemorate beating down that Creole Blue ass last night. Of course I do that everyday to get to work.
That looks thoroughly disgusting.
