Ray Allen is tough...he did it to us too.

The Kings are basically a good team but Bibby is stinking it up...and he has been all night long, sloppy sloppy ball handling.

tell me exactly how the Sonics would beat the Spurs in 1 game.

    Please enlighten me.

They have given up 98 points to a team if you would rebound or defend halfway decent, would have about 80.

Because they have two guys that are unguardable by us in Lewis and Allen, and one of the toughest rebounders in the NBA...basically the same recipe the Bulls and Pistons used to win multiple les...Excellent perimeter players with beast rebounding inside...

And I don't know what's gotten into James but a bigman playing like he is now is a devastating counter balance to Allen and Lewis.

Ray Allen can be slowed VERY VERY easily by Bruce Bowen, thats quite simple.

Nesterovic or Duncan would slow Jerome James down, but, while I say this, look at who he is going against.

A one legged Miller and Kenny Thomas. Come on...

Ray Allen ripped us a new asshole this entire season except for the last game...Bruce can probably get into his head for a full series...but this dude is not guardable when he is on. The Spurs probably could contain James but Lewis is the same type of long 3 that has given us problems all season long.

It's hard to judge just how good they are playing right now because the Kings are probably the worst playoff team in the entire WC.

Rashard Lewis will definitely be a problem if/when the Spurs/Sonics match-up. Ray will have a big game here and there. But I worry that the Spurs don't have anyone who can really guard Lewis.

    Agreed.

But, still am not scared of a team that goes from 7 foot, to 6'8 in their bigs department after James goes out.

Play good D, Ginobili on Lewis will be a fine matchup, go back and look at the tape on what you did to Lewis in 02.

Spurs in 4. 5 at the MOST.

In case you haven't noticed, the Spurs tend to give away games at times at beat themselves. Against Seattle, going cold in the 4th is disaster because Ray Allen can beat you by himself, even with Bruce Bowen on him. (he is still a pansy though)

Why worry about it, when hes done jack to the Kings who have no one to guard him.

Take a guess who's points per game those are going from game 1-3 in the first round.

Ive noticed. But take into account those teams were good defensively.

Seattle's defense is way overrated, and Duncan, Ginobili, Parker should all go off without problem.

TPark what do you mean...James sucked against us all season...it was Fortson and Evans that wrecked us inside...if James is playing like that on offense, it's a problem, but they certainly don't lose anything when he goes out...at least against us they haven't.

They lose no toughness when James goes out of the game...and if you think Melo is cheap you haven't paid much attention to Fortson in his career...he will take Manu out.

Look we all hate Ray Allen because he's a whining , but this guy is a ing good player...he's smart too.

Seattle matches up better with us than any team in the NBA IMO.

The thing about Lewis is he makes himself very easy to guard at times. For some reason for long stretches of a game he will play like a 6'4" guard. He shys away from contact and wants to stand behind the arc and bomb away all night. His size has absolutely no effect on the game when he has that mentality.

I think Lewis takes himself effectively out of the game for atleast 1-2 in the series if we play them. He is to quick to shy away from contact.

Ray Allen on the other hand is unstoppable at times. The catch is that he always thinks he is unstoppable. Even when his shot isnt falling he will keep bombing away and hurting his team.

As for Jerome James and Fortson, I am not scared at all. Other than Shaq its usually the athletic big men that hurt us and James and Fortson are not athletic enough. The big man that worries me is Radmonovich if his outside J is falling.

Lewis is a much better player now than he was then.

But you make a good point on that one. Starting lineup was Parker, Smith, Bowen, Duncan, Robinson. That meant Steve Smith started out on Rashard Lewis. Scary.

Sonics should wrap it on Tuesday, and the Spurs on Wednesday.

So we're looking at another Saturday/Sunday start.

I'm glad T Park is on the Spurs. I've never seen someone as overconfident.

Not overconfidence, Ive watched the Sonics against the Kings from Game 1 to now, and they are doing it with Mirrors and smoke.

Bowen on Allen, keep in front of Lewis onto the perimiter, and Duncan dominate the low post game.

Also their defense is wayyyy overrated, they allow easy shots all the time, and if they knock you on your ass??? Pick your ass up, go to the FT and knock down 1 of 2.

Its not that big of a freakin deal.

No, you are wrong. Bowen manned up on Barry.

It was brought up many times when people worried about Barry and playoff success.

    Pardon me, your right.

Still though, Rashard Lewis didn't go nuts in that series.

You take what you did then, and you be physical with him, and stay in front of him.

Yes your point has been made. I don't understand why he didn't go off either, but of course he wasn't as good then.

Radman is another tough matchup for the Spurs, he seems to always play well against them.

    Good Call Ducks...

    Seattle 115, Sacramento 102
Allen scored a playoff career-high 45 points, hitting six 3-pointers in the Sonics' 115-102 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night, sending Seattle home with a 3-1 lead and a chance to finish the best-of-seven series.

If I remember correctly, Seattle went small against the Spurs in 2002 with Payton, Barry, D. Mason, Lewis, and Vin Baker at C. Lewis was playing the PF position against us, and we had Malik Rose covering him cause David Robinson was out with that pinched nerve in his back. Seattle took us to 5 games, and Lewis injured his left shoulder in Game 3 when the spurs blew them out and sat out the remainder of the series. Bowen was covering Brent Barry then, and Smitty was matched up with Desmond Mason who started at SF for the Sonics.

SFIA, you do remember correctly...That was the series where Duncan missed two games due to his fathers death.

That was also the series where Bowen put that huge gash in Barry's forehead...and the series where Parker destroyed Payton in about half the games(and when Duncan was in the lineup).
