Never Happened!!! You never beat my ass.
WHAT??? YOU WANT SOME???? BRING IT ON!!
TBH, our Madden rivalry is a lot like the Colts and Texans irl.
BULL , you couldnt beat me in 09. Lets play today brah!!
ATRAIN, time and place and I'll be there.
Today 4:00 PM central?? U up for it?
Jah
Awww. You guys made a play date. How sweet!
Like what I've heard of the new album, thought it hasn't been much.
Am I the only one who likes Gorillaz and Korn and Radiohead and Nirvana?
dirk, im on. Let's go.
dirk punking out.
I wonder how ATRAIN feels. It's like on all those kid shows where the bully says "Meet me at the water fountain 5 minutes after school" and he's contemplating showing up, and in his head , he's like "Should I show up?"
Goddamnit, dirk. you.
Everybody should quit making fun of ATRAIN's Korn obsession. Remember he was a very angry kid. He just revealed to me that he was in a mosh pit at a Metallica concert. His teenage angst was deep.
Great band! Love Gorillaz. Their first two albums were really good and from what I've heard of this one it's really good as well. One of the better bands out today along with The Killers.
Crazy that Damon Albarn was in Blur too, but I like Gorillaz infinitely more than I like Blur.
Pick one, bro.good
This album is fantastic. A pleasant surprise to see this thread on here.
I hope people who are into this band check out Damon Albarn's first band Blur.
Those guys were incredible.
You must be. I ing hate Korn.
I have pretty much Blur's entire catalogue, and while I love their work, their albums suffer from the 5 great songs/5 fillers problem. I'd recommend their self- led as their best album (especially Beetlebum and Death of a party), and otherwise go with the Greatest Hits which covers most of the fantastic tracks from the breadth of their career like There's no other way, For Tomorrow and Boys and Girls.
Didn't Blur finally break up?
After about 15 years, yes. Then Albarn moved on to Gorillaz. And your point?
who in the has never heard of blur? not exactly obscure.
A few of my favourite Blur tracks as mentioned above (best heard deafening loud, same as most Britpop):
Ohhh I dunno Ruff, I have Blur's entire catalogue as well, and I think everything from "Modern Life is Rubbish" all the way through "Think Tank" has been great. I think a greatest hits is nice for someone new to the band, but they've got some killer album tracks that people would miss out on. "Parklife" in particular is definitely a classic all the way through.
Granted, they've got some rubbish songs ("Crazy Beat" in particular) but I think Blur is one of the most consistent bands since 1990. What sucks, is that in North America, most people only know them because of "Song 2", so the "whoo hoo guys" don't get nearly as much credit around here as they deserve.
At least 75% of the people here I'm willing to bet have only heard "Song 2".
Fair enough. I think they really hit their stride on Blur, which I can listen to all the way through, but before that I find their albums patchy and annoying. Each to his own I guess. You are right though that the greatest hits misses a lot of great album tracks.
As for the Song 2 comment, I can totally see that. The really annoying thing is that Song 2 isn't even in the top 3 tracks on the album IMHO.
