What a load of bull . You trade a HoFer who changes the game in 100 ways and leads his franchise, for an injury-prone defensive guy yet to prove himself? Utter garbage.

The vikings would beg to differ.
bull and then some..
Oden was drafted in 2007, Spurs had just won their 4th le of the Duncan era weeks earlier.. Yeah they were trading him..![]()
I dont believe it, THE Tim Duncan?? No way
even kwami brown doesn't believe this.
lol portland trying to save face by not drafting durant. lol durant-roy-aldridge core. lolololololol.
What a bunch of lies. Nothing you can do at this point makes drafting Oden look smart.
Not a chance this would happen. Spurs learnt their lesson during the DRob/Chris Webber fiasco.
This sounds like a story filler to get a little perk so the readers will finish the piece. If true--how many #1 picks and players to go along with Oden for Tim.
wtf is this lmao. no way this happened
Total Bull ...
Pop has always said Tim will be a Spur for life and will retire a Spur and be hailed as the Greatest Spur of All Time!
Tim loves the laid back style of good ol' SA.![]()
It's only March
April 1st is still far
wat happen if it was trade for the draft pick, spurs go pick durant instead....
I call bull e on this one. The Spurs front office would never offer up Tim in a trade, period. He was drafted a Spur and will retire a Spur, the same as David. They should have shown the same courtesy to Gervin too, I remember seeing him playing in a Bulls uniform at Hemisfair, it was just gut wrenching. Ithink they learned their lesson after that idiot move.
Is this why Pritchard is so disliked? Hilarious. The team was pretty set on bringing back the same players. They signed Bonner over Scola. Pretty sure they weren't even making small changes. Ha.
Man, I couldn't even see the Spurs trading Duncan for LeBron in 07, much less a rookie (albeit a rookie who was considered as can't miss as they come).
SI your full of . Spurs led that year only a re or SI staff member would offer that trade
If this is true, the Spurs FO has never been smart, only lucky.
lolololololololololol
It's irrational to think a team coming off of a championship season would trade it's centerpiece/franchise player for the No. 1 draft pick. Yeah, if this was likely maybe in '97 Chicago would've traded Jordan for the chance to draft Timmy. Or maybe the Lakers would swapped Kobe Bryant for the opportunity to draft Blake Griffin.
Both are believable if you go by the nonsense in this article regarding the Spurs trading Duncan.
Nice try Prichard, but dont think anyone could buy this crap.
