He wasn't sitting on the bench behind inferior talent. If he was a better player, he'd have played. But he isn't. And he's been out of the team for awhile, he only left today because his agent and the club have been negotiating, it has nothing to do with missiles.

Of course the team was interested in giving him playing time, that's why they were paying him a salary. He just wasn't good enough. Happens a lot.

One of the most heralded European prospects entering this draft, Alexey Shved, has barely played for 2 seasons. But he moved to a smaller club in January and has been getting some minutes and putting up some good numbers since then. That's basically the situation with Tyler. He needs to find at a lower level because his current ability is still too far from the level he was trying to play at.

    Jeremy Tyler's screwed.

He can't play in the NBA and he can't play in college.

If he had stayed in school, he definitely would have gotten a college scholarship and probably would have been an NBA drafft pick.

He can play in the D-League. It's working for Latavious Williams. And he can play in a minor European league and still make some decent money. If he's good, he'll get the scouting.

I'm a Democrat but at the Nuke Israel comment. Bush won Florida in 2004 by several hundred thousand votes because Florida Jews who normally vote Democrat were so impressed with his policy towards Israel from 2000-2004 they went with him. Just look at Joe Leiberman, he was the Democratic VP candidate in 2000 and now most people consider him a Republican.

Sons I'm not a republican or democrat. That's just a hilariously uninformed comment considering that liking Israel TOO much is one of the knocks on republicans. Not that anyone here over the age of 12 needs that explained to them. On a positive note, it's nice to see San Antonio defending it's le as one of the nations dumbest cities. At least that's one le they can successfully defend.

    Pretty good.
At this point, that's all he's gonna make. He can't even play college basketball anymore since he played professional ball. Dude won't be able to develop his game. Within 5 years, he's gonna be a regular poster on this board and will claim he's more knowledgeable than anyone on this board since he's a former player.

You're too naive. If the kid indeed has talent and next season tears the D-League or the Belgian league or the Spanish 3rd division apart, NBA gms won't care less if he flamed out in an Israeli team and will draft him.

If he doesn't have talent, than he was smart to make those $140k.

I've never heard of a nation called Israel. Are you all referring to the occupied Palestinian territories?

"Five or six NBA scouts have told me recently to just have Jeremy come home and start practicing, that the experience in Israel is not detrimental to his future," Vaccaro said.
The kid appears to still have a shot at making it. He's a big with potential, and you know how GMs are all over those.

This overreaction to this is quite pathetic. Every season there are proven college/D-League players who go to Europe, fail and after a couple of months are back in the US. NCAA champs, Div1 Conferences POYs, D-League All-Stars, even NBA scrubs. Heck, it happened to Von Wafer this season, a guy who's proved he can contribute something in the NBA - he was quickly fired of his team because he couldn't crack the rotation. The idea that this could mean the end of the kid's career is frankly re ed.

Most Americans are delusional about level of American players just as you are delusional about level of European players.

He is #1 prospect for 2010 NBA draft. As soon as he signs with Euro club he will be automatically eligible for 2010 draft and experts agree he would be above Wall.

He wil get a few more chances ibecause in this world talent is greater then having quote on quote good character. Yeah he flamed out but if the kids really talented then there will be GMs out there willing to give him a chance. At this point of time he is a low risk high reward prospect. I wouldn't mind the spurs taking a chance on this kid. I think what will happen is this kid will play in the D-league for a year tear it up and then get called up by a bunch of nba teams.
