My picks were based on music that was a big part of my life during different periods. There are many more but these are the ones that were most influential.
I'll only name my top 3; 4 and on I can't make clear-cut choices, but my top 3 are easy:
1)Dvorak's 9th Symphony (From the New World) by George Szell and the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra
2) Beethoven's 9th Symphony (Choral) by Bernard Haitink and the London Symphony Orchestra
(I know a lot of people consider Furtwangler the gold standard for the 9th, but the vocals in this version above are mind-blowing and make it my favorite)
3) Racmaninoff's 3rd Concerto by Vladimir Horowitz
