Wright will fill some of Morrow's court-spacing role. After two seasons hampered by knee injuries, he hit a career-high 61 three-pointers last season.

"He'll be our version of Bruce Bowen," a Warriors source said.

You haven't quoted the most interesting part of the article:
League decision-makers thought Wright was just starting to show his overall value, and many believed he would net the full mid-level exception, which the NBA set at $5.765 million. Miami wanted Wright to return, and San Antonio was among other teams chasing the small forward.

I still disagree with you Bruno that if you just swap Wright for RJ, the Spurs aren't better. Better fit, younger and is the team would be better off.

Damn, it would have been nice to get Wright. Having to spend the MLE on Splitter screwed the Spurs out of some decent SF bargains.

I think jury is still out if Dorell Wright for 3/11 is a bargain. (I don't try to say that there isn't a chance he could be a steal)

don't forget, at only 24 he has a huge injury history, including several serious knee injuries, one that cost a whole season.
combine this with the off court issues and a problematic character overall, you also buy a good chance he will either blow a knee or a car during the next season. (and I think one young player with a time fuze knee is enough on this roster)
