I agree. They seem really confident against us now.

and the Spurs would be facing a Boozerless/Kirilenkoless/Brewerless Jazz team

    Hmmmm....
AK and Boozer will be ready to play by Sat for sure. Utah is on streak at home and it is tough to win in their building( 2nd best home record in West). Spurs will need to not only win all home games, but they need to win on opponent's home court. That is very hard to do in SLC. I'll take Dallas.

Now that the picture is clearer, all of these opponents seem a lot tougher than they did yesterday.

I want the spurs drafting ahead of Portland so this would not be good.

Carlos Boozer suffers rib cage injury, MRI Wednesday

Wed Apr 14,2010 8:26 AM ET By Kurt Helin

The Utah Jazz are not going to go very far in the playoffs without Carlos Boozer. They will find out today if they will have to try.

Boozer left Tuesday night's game in the second quarter, went back to the locker room and did not play another minute in the Jazz's win.

The injury is described as a strained muscle in his right rib cage. According to Ross Siler of the Salt Lake Tribune, X-rays were negative. Boozer is scheduled for an MRI today. Aside that, we don't know much about the injury.

His status for a key showdown with the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night is not known. If Boozer does not play, Paul Milsap will get the start. Boozer likely will try to be in the lineup when the playoffs start this weekend, but the MRI likely will determine his status for that.

Stranger things have happened in the NBA. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Looks like we are screwed either way. I don't see how this is helping. It's a good thing statistics don't play basketball.

whoever we play it will not be easy, and the same could be said of that team's chances against the spurs. i really think most teams would rather not play the spurs as well. too reminiscent of the rockets of 95.

The Jazz are not a deep team to begin with, so I can't see them beating the Suns minus all of that firepower/depth. It's unfortunate, because if the Spurs could get the Jazz it would really make it easier on them to advance.

    April 14, 2010

TUALATIN, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge was hospitalized Tuesday night due to a stomach virus, and stayed overnight for evaluation. He is expected to be released today from the hospital.

Aldridge, who is also dealing with a left-calf contusion, is listed as doubtful because of viral gastroenteritis for tonight's regular-season finale against Golden State at the Rose Garden.

Veteran forward Juwan Howard will likely replace Aldridge in the starting lineup.
