Chalk up an assist for Jason Kidd.. he called it right when he predicted RJ would come out and raise his game after a disappointing game no. 1. Pretty sure RJ heard that comment from his old teammate and decided he couldn't let him down.. LOL

    Good game RJ.

I don't know if the second half was on RJ though. I thought TP didn't look for him enough.

RJ was key in the Spurs grabbing that early lead. He got them going and allowed them to keep the lead.

The Spurs probably should have ran a few plays for him in the 2nd half, I agree..preferably screens or rolls..he looked shaky when he did get it in the 2nd half though, Butler got into him a few times, he started getting physical with him..Jefferson wasn't too good in 1 on 1 situations vs. Butler..

Spurs should definitely look for him more throughout the game in game 3, I'm sure Pop will adjust..I'm not comfortable when he has the ball when the Spurs need a basket though, he's really shaky under pressure..

I just think they simply didn't look for him as much in the second half, but then again I wouldn't mind it if they keep getting RJ going on the first half and then Tim, Manu and Tony take over in the second half. At least that way RJ is going a little bit for the second half.

Well RJ was the difference tonight. 19 points in a 12 point win for the Spurs. Sure he didn't keep the pace up in the second, but had he done what he did in the first half tonight in game 1, the Spurs probably win that game as well.

Still, no more pre-ejaculation threads. Had the Spurs lost, RJ's 0-3 from the field and several turnovers would have been magnified and Riverwalkman's head would be the banner of Spurstalk.

I'll start a "Mavs appreciation thread" next time.

Appreciation will be given when he has earned it. He has barley justified his reason for being paid so much.... so I'll hold back any appreciation for now.

I think that flagrant and a couple ty no calls messed up his 2nd half play. The TO(s?) was/were unacceptable. Why Manu and Tim didn't keep him going in the 2nd half is beyond me.

RJ stepping up, dude is definitely not a choker. C'mon Spurs fans give the man some credit, he may struggle some times with his shot but the effort is always there.

Can people stop talking about his money? Are we going to go through this every day? He's never going to be worth 14 mil, and the only reason the Spurs were able to acquire him was because of the price tag being so high..if he was actually worth 14 mil, that means any team would be stupid to trade him in the first place..

He's showing up, that's all we can ask for..if he continues to play well, the regular season will be forgotten..

Very solid, underrated game today. He has a lot of momentum plays, including two big time blocks.

RJ's defense today was incredibly good. This was easily his best game as a Spur.

RJ is playing with heart. He is not choking. He knows how playoff basketball looks like, and he is adjusting to it. Yes, he struggle with points, but he is giving almost everythings else that counts. Props to him

when RJ caught the ball under the basket and did the reverse dunk late in the game, and when the camera cut to Cuban's face, it looked like Cuban said " ".

    I ain't a lip reader though.
