20 grand is a friggin bargain.
I love it! I've started buying my small appliances in black, red, and stainless in the hopes that in a few years I'll have a kitchen I can remodel in those colors. Also, if you haven't thrown out that coffee pot yet, can I have it?

Like the look - a suggestion and a question for you:
You might consider some indirect lighting in the area above the cabinets - install the lights on the top of the cabinet so that they can shine up on the wall / ceiling without being seen - would really add something extra.
How did you decide on the counter? I've been leaning towards using black soapstone (what they used to make science lab table tops out of - durable, non reactive and completely heat resistant) but the lighter color is a nice contrast.
oi abc, you still renovating that place or your actually finish with the whole place?
Looks amazing! I love the back splash the best, I think.![]()
Wow, it's gorgeous!
I'm amazed that anyone thinks it's 'meh' for 20K. Especially since he lives (if I recall correctly) in the DC area. I know people in SA are spoiled on cheap Mexican labor and low cost of living ,but in that area, 20K is beyond a bargain. I have a friend who lived in Fairfax County (near DC) and paid almost that much just in labor to re-do his kitchen. It was bigger than that one, but still. For the amount, new appliances, etc it's great.

Yep, I saw a pic of the kitchen with the old cabinets and new appliances. I like the old cabinets better. I don't like dark cabinets in the kitchen.
It looks good!
I'm not too crazy about the appliances - but that's my feelings about US type appliances in general with the exception of the double door fridges
Love the lighting and wooden floor. I have nothing against the dark cabinets - good job on the steel handles.

The dark cabinets must go. I will not rest until they are gone.

you should use them for firewood.
The brick is hideous, but everything else looks great.

Not a fan of the dark cabinets or the pastel backsplash, but it definitely comes together well.
And I'd rather slit my wrists than try to keep stainless appliances clean.
Looks great!![]()
Nice!
Funny, I replaced black with cherry wood in my kitchen last year. But my black cabinets were not nearly as pretty as those.
u forgot the extra coating abc puts on his
I believe it was a reference to the backsplash
I'm not digging it much either, no matter the colour - I think it just zaps the mood out of everything else. That said, "everything else" is pretty pimp yo, good job![]()
I like dark cabinets but the black ones you put in don't really match the floor IMO.
I like the backsplash. I almost went with glass in my kitchen but ended up using tile. Kitchen remodeling is fun. I've done it in three houses already.
Is that a Subzero fridge? Nice upgrade for only 20K though. Definitely adds value to the house, no doubt.
