Funny.. I celebrated harder beating the lakers in 03 than I did the nets...
OF course nothing was as good as 99...
maybe someday you will understand.
Holy - this might be the most pathetic post Ive ever seen on Spurs talk.

You honestly believe Pop or anyone else gives a flying about homecourt advantage? If you're good, you can win anywhere, and when the Spurs' playoff (and Finals) tested core runs into a hostile environment, they're professional enough to the point where they just go about their business--and the rest of the team follows suit.
As far as the Finals go, I've always said that the 2-3-2 format actually favors the team WITHOUT homecourt. Think of the '04 Finals--once Detroit stole one in LA, they knew all they had to do was hold serve, and the le was theirs. That's a HUGE psychological advantage. Even in a series where the home team holds serve through 5 games, the team with the better record is the one staring at a 3-2 deficit and a must-win game, even if they're at home.
You mean there is no River Parade for winning game 4?
Man, I should have posted this same post last year when the Mavs beat the Spurs, but with a Spurs fan prespective.
Mavs were the best road team this season, and are now 02 in SA, and very probably will be 0-3.
The original poster is absolutely correct. The Spurs haven't won anything yet.
The difference is, the Spurs understand that. They don't expect anyone to give them anything. And they are not asking anyone for "respect", for the refs to change the way they call games, for the fans to act differently, for their teammates to play differently, nothing. No excuses, no early celebrations, no complaints, no egos, no second guessing.
The thing is, for the warriors that WAS their championship.
This thread is sort of like a night stocker at Target giving Michael Dell advice on how to run a business.
The team your root for has won 4 championships. You, individually, have won none. And yes, I know that the Mavs have no championships. Actually, I think Pops would give a about homecourt advantage because all of his teams in the Finals had the homecourt advantage and it helped the Spurs. You're gonna tell me it didn't? The Spurs would have lost in 2005 if the Pistons had the homecourt. It would be a new experience for the Spurs in the Finals this year if they do make it.
It is for the mavs though......let's see how many real nba trophies have come to pass...
hmmmmmmmm?
How many sports teams does San Antonio have again?
Seriously? Is that the best retort you can muster?![]()
Yep. Take it or leave it.![]()
San Antonio's one sports team has won almost as many les as 4 of Dallas' teams put together.
Cowboys have 5
Stars have 1
The Spurs have 4 going on 5 hopefully, as a pro team and number of teams for the 2 cities and les go. I'd say San Antonio isn't doing too bad in that regard.
a mavs fan telling us to hold our horses? ahahhahahaha the same organization that beat us in 06 and thought they had the finals in the bag going up 2-0? hahahahha good luck
lets just hope the deciding game, none of ur mav players pull a juwon howard on us....fkn jackass
I like the liquid metal le forming on the site logo. Need to find some molten metal.
No one fears the lakers anymore fella ..you serious![]()
At this point i'm more scared of the Jazz.
No.
Fakers got lucky they didn't run into the Spurs in the first round.
Actually, I'll go further than that and say Fakers will be lucky to GET to the second round at this point.
And Fakers will be very, very lucky to reach the WCF.
Mav fans act like idiots all the time and people who have a problem with average joes talking trash need to relax. It is part of the fun of a rivalary. It is not like spurs fans truly believe they are the favorites to win anything. They are just running smack back at the mavs.
, this series is not even over yet.
