Its strange that Israeli teams not compete in "Middle East leagues" where they belongs???
And we have a EU champinon from Middle East! That makes no sens!
Many of those countries don't acknowledge Israel's right to exist, much less play basketball. Its strange that Israeli teams not compete in "Middle East leagues" where they belongs???
Turkey plays in Euroleague too, I know they're borderline....
Pretty petty aint it.Many of those countries don't acknowledge Israel's right to exist, much less play basketball.
Somehow I doubt Macabi would be too enthused about going to play a game in Syria, Iraq or Iran.
One thing that could help Scola stick in the NBA is how quickly he goes into his post moves -- I can see his getting more than a few points off of defenses that aren't fully set.
Some of his help defense left him way, way out of position but it seemed like others should have been rotating to make up for it. You can't say he's lazy on D, and if GRob can stay on the floor with the effort hes given, that bodes well for Scola - especially since we can always have a shotblocker out there with him.
"Middle East leagues" where they belongs???"
Let me guess, cmurek, you're a Muslim?
A top Russian team from eastern Russia (aka Asia) or eastern Turkey: allowed to play as Euro, or excluded as Asian?
Union Olimpija (Slovenian basketball club) would also like to play in American basketball leagues, but they cant! Why? Because they are not from that continet!
Or change the "Name" of trophy into something else!![]()

Turkey is a lit a bit a different story! A small part, or better a part of the capital city Istanbul standing on the territory of Europe! At least something!
Not if you listen to David Stern.Union Olimpija (Slovenian basketball club) would also like to play in American basketball leagues, but they cant! Why? Because they are not from that continet! You need to update your 1922 atlas.A small part, or better a part of the capital city Istanbul standing on the territory of Europe!
No im Osama
Im atheist if you must know! But thats not the point!
Man, my oppinion is that Israeli teams should not compete in Europe! They do not belongs geographical to Europe! They are at least 1000 miles away from!
Geography Turkey Top of Page
Location:
southeastern Europe and southwestern Asia (that portion of Turkey west of the Bosporus is geographically part of Europe), bordering the Black Sea, between Bulgaria and Georgia, and bordering the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, between Greece and Syria.

About Stern I think that non-american teams will never play in any american leauges!
Btw, congrats to Maccabi! They played nice basket in the finals! I hope that next year Spurs will play Uleb eurolagueIf Maccabi can, so why Spurs not

Is Macabi not being eligible to play in the Euroleague a popular sentiment among Euroleague fans?
Technically ispeaking it's the Natinonal Basketball Association and most Canadians would not be amused to hear that they are part of the nation of the United States of America.
the capital city Istanbul
Yes my mistake![]()
parker isnt related to tony is he?
I have nothing against that Maccabi can play in Euroleague. This team is very good and makes Euroleague only better.
