that's simplifying my argument. If i said dirk should not be considered a tough guy warrior because he shoots shots.. then you'd have a point.

It's who his compe ion is. yeah he's a matchup nightmare, but does he go to battle against men his size in the clutch.. No way jose. THat guy defers and lets all the midgets in his team do most of the inside game.. It's like topsy turvy world.

I mean it's not his fault he can shoot jumpers at an efficicient rate, and that not many big men are as mobile as he is. Just, don't expect me to give him props for beating up on midgets more than half the time, not his fault, but don't give me that .

I can usually find some logic in your political arguments even if I don't agree with .

This is just flat out ing re ed.

Have fun trying to get anyone agree with your view here.

    Dirk is a great player.

I don't get why so many spurstalkers are scoffing him after we get our sweet revenge. He ing tore into us almost every game. Name one other player in the game so ing deadly at jump shots. He is what he is.
There are like 6 other players on that roster that deserve more scof e than him.
Yeah he's a great player.. so was malone.. but do we consider him a heroic player.. many will argue not since his balls would shrivel in the clutch.

Great Player does not equal a heroic, warrioresque performer. I don't see what's the problem here.

less of a player in what sense.. i'm just saying he's not a ing hero.

Dude is money down the stretch. Its not his fault that his team and his coach aren't as good.

    This thread is so hillarious.

Dirk gets for being white the same way Tony gets for being French.

If Tony played exactly the way he did now but was a local black, he'd have legions of black fans that he does not have now. And he'd get credit for being the tough ass mofo that he is.

If Dirk were black he'd get less babied by the refs but would actually get more credit from the fanbases around the country.

As if every 7 foot black guy has the skillset that Dirk has. GMAFB. He's really really good. Where people err is when they assume he can take you to a championship. Why can't he be just a good player? He obviously needs a player better than him to get his ring. But that doesn't diminish how in bad ass he is. He is what he is. He's a great player. But as spurs fans' who love Duncan its easy to scoff the out of him, but that makes it sound as if every other team out there has a Duncan.

    He is what he is.
    He's damn good.

But he needs a better player than himself if he wants to ever get that ring.

    Dirk = David before Tim.

All people remember now about David is the rings. When was the last time you heard Robinson referred to as Little Mermaid?

If Dirk wins a ring, thats anyone will remember. But none of that changes the dude plays his ass off and is a of a player.

    Rofl..

what's re ed is you trying to shift the argument to whether he has talent or if he is a great player, i believe this thread is about whether he's a heroic warrior. That is an oppinion based argument that numbers can't quantify.

I bet you will find many a great players in the Nba who put up great numbers but who were not of the warrior mentality. That's not a contradiction.

Dirk bricked free throws to win a championship, uncontested, in his prime, without Plantar fascitis, on a skill set that comes natural to him.. shooting.

    Bricked...

That's like you missing the toilet water and ting the bowl on a routine .. that's like not cool breh.

Dirk also hit an and 1 in a Game 7 in a hostile arena in the 2nd round that year to get them there. I know though, it was only a foul by a shooting guard so obviously that makes it unclutch.

Spurs were putting guards on Dirk on the way they were rotating. Dirk was doing just as good when he was being guarded by Mcdyess and Duncan. He is just a beast, there is no way around it, he is unstopable.

haH!!! You totally have a broad definition of clutch. He got bailed by a stupid mistake. He recieved favorable calls all series long and was playing a debilitated spurs team. His team was dominating the whole series and he gets bailed out by a re ed ginobilli move. That's not clutch.

In that case, Robert horry's/nash incident was clutch.

    thanks for strenghtening my argument.

If tim Duncan were to put up 35 pts 29 rbs vs the Korean National team.. would we consider his performance clutch.

I mean, you can't fault tim duncan for being taller, stronger and splacker than the Joon Kim...

.. the spurs forced a game 7 vs a slanted reffed series being down 3-1.. almost overcome all odds only to have one of their guards bailout a 7'2 german.. yet Manny wants to give Dirk the clutch factor award.

    Wow.. we spurfans are slippin'

Hmm, didn't he take it to the hole in the clutch? Oh and he wasn't guarded by Gino, its just that manu came over to try (stupidly) to stop the shot.

    earlier post... covered that explanation..
    Crofl Crofl Crofl!!!

Duncan went up against Dice/Sheed/ Wallace/Shaq/Stoudemire/KG/Malone in his prime face to face in the 4th qtr.

Dirk camped out at the perimeter and went up against Bruce Bowen/Sjax/ Nate Robinson/ Lady Gaga/ Becky Hammon/ George Costanza because his tall ass lounges on the perimeter. Only when the officiating is favoring the Mav's does that asshole drive it in.

Do you know what the meaning of "warrior" is figuratively? Dirk fits the definition perfectly. It isn't about being a man or being physical. It's just being aggressive and having that drive to win.

Dirk also torches big men on the perimeter AND inside, so I don't see how shooting over midgets has to do with anything when that is caused by the other team's rotations.

    Failure of a thread.
