    you mean bowen destroyed nash.
C'mon, TP absolutely raped Phoenix in 2008. There's no reason to take anything away from his past performances because of the horrid season he's had this year.

but this is a completely different suns team actually playin a little bit defense....so it shud be a tough series for our guys...
I think you have a point, this could be the toughest Suns team defensively the SPurs will have faced yet. One sequence of plays that caught my eye was in the closing minutes vs. the Blazers, Amare had the ball and made a strong move to the baasket but at the last minute he threaded an excellent pass to a cutting Richardson for a layup. Then the duo did it again on the very next play.
This was a shock to me, Amare actually giving up the ball in scoring position and executing great passes to a cutting teammate. This adds another wrinkle to his game that the Spurs coaching staff will no doubt have to address.

    Same , different year.

Don't be fooled. Their def eff isn't all that different from year's past.

Only major difference from past encounters with the Suns is that the Spurs are no longer an elite defensive team(def eff was 9th this year). Our offense is better though(less reliable role players but more options to score 20+ a night).

spurs stragegy was let amare get his shut down everyone else
    worked in past
spurs have dice this year though
I really liked Dice's d so far, but I think he is outmatched against Amare on his own. I think they take their chances in the begining, but Im sure he will be doubled during the series. Hopefully we can get enough pressure for him to make bad decisions out of the double.
