I tore my meniscus before back in boot camp. Really ty injury and takes a while to warm up. Definitely a mental game though and how he can tolerate pain. Long term damage is likely but Roy set the precedent for that.
He's had a little tear for a while now, but this is playoff basketball...Either man up or get the out of LA son hahaha..22 years old, making 14 mil a year & always takes his damn time..If he wants the respect, he better stop acting like a vagina every time he has a lil injury & play hard with a little discomfort. This aint the euro league.

Agreed with all who are posting about how this proves that Bynum is a terrible player, leader, and all-around human being.
Any big man who bails on his team while trying to defend their championship with such a pansy, irrelevant injury as a torn lateral meniscus is a coward, scamp, and roustabout.... the s of the earth and deserving of nothing but scorn.
Clearly, Bynum's failure here is utterly unprecedented in NBA history.
I agree 100%
Very unfortunate development for the Lakers.![]()
