I really don't see this as an issue. TP starts next year and Manu goes back to the bench.
Just prior to TP's hand injury he and Hill were playing well together. The Spurs were in the process of gelling and on a winning streak at that point. Also that was about the time that RJ went to the 2nd unit, too. I see them being our starting backcourt next year. I foresee a TP/Hill 1st unit and a Manu/Temple 2nd unit. Temple will come back next year and as of now it would be his job to lose. IMHO
I would like to see RJ on the 2nd unit since I believe he works best with Manu rather than TP but maybe with nother year's play that might prove to be wrong. With several players - Bogans and Mase or more - not returning next year then the Spurs could possibly get themselves a good 3, either a FA or by trade, threreby affording them to put RJ on the 2nd unit.
Personally I'd like to see Hill take on the 6th man role. Like Crawford in Atlanta, he can play both guard positions and could provide a spark.
Manu off the bench, with improvment on starting SG since there were Mason, Bogans, Finley and Barry
