mo williams made run in third quarter.

lebron playing lack of passion is the reason cavs are not up 2-0. you dont blame a third option to save an mvp's team.

    *sigh*

Mo Williams being absolutely RAPED by Rajon Rondo is the reason the Cavs have found themselves down. Mo scoring 10pts in a quarter does not atone for the 40+ points he's given up playing defense.

Again, look at the stats I posted for LeBron. He may not be playing 100%, but he's still putting up better numbers than any other single player in the Playoffs. Last year he averaged something like 38/8/8 against Orlando and his team did nothing (outside of Delonte West). This year is the same story.

If you can't put these things together, than there's no hope for you.

Lebron was playing up his elbow the second he was babying it and took that re ed left handed free throw. You could see the fear in his eyes going into this series.

Maybe LeBron should refuse to try for an entire 4th quarter in a Playoff game. You know, like Kobe.

Mo Williams is not THE reason the Cavaliers are tied 1-1. He is one of several reasons. Among them LeBron's lethargic and tentative play while his team was being run out of its own building in Game 2.

Oh come on, Joe, you're better than that. If you've read my posts, then you'd see that I'm not saying Mo is the only reason. Don't latch on one word in a sentence and use that as the basis of your point.

Even with LeBron playing lethargic, a solid effort from the guys around him would have the Cavs up 2-0 right now. You can try to dice that any way you want, but it's the truth.

Mo Williams - 1 of 9 shooting and the guy he's supposed to guard went for 13 and 19. The other guy he guarded (Ray) went off for 22 points.

LeBron James - 7 of 15 shooting and the guy he guarded (Pierce) went for 14 points.

    Do the math.

If Bron goes for 40 + and the Cavaliers still lose, like what happened in the Orlando series, I'll put it on the supporting cast.

If Bron stands around and watches his team get blown out at home, I'll put it on him.

    Simple.

And if LeBron stands around and watches his team suck, then what? Because that's what we've seen so far - no one stepping consistently.

    1. LBJ is awesome + team sucks
    2. LBJ is lethargic, yet still the best player on his team + team sucks
    3. LBJ is lethargic + team is good

We haven't seen scenario 3, so I'm not sure how you put the blame solely on LeBron for the real scenario (#2) that we just saw on Monday.

Dude, WTF do I care about LeBron being "the best player on his team?" Ricky Davis was once the best player on his team too

All I care about is this:

and that dog performance he put on Monday wasn't good enough by a long shot. For all the hype, the religious iconography, all tha BS, he'd better be better than THAT.

I still think he's hurt. But if he is he needs to come out and say so, or the team should.

Uh, you're missing the point. Badly.

I'm saying what is your reaction when LeBron is lethargic yet he's still the best player that night? That is, LeBron has a ty game but his teammates have even tier games. You still blame the L on LeBron because he was lethargic, yet his team was worse?

In game 2 LeBron didn't do much at all, but he was still the best player on the Cavs that night if you look at production.

Bad time for Lebron to play like an ass though. Not on the same night where he just held his MVP trophy. Agree with Tait on this one.

After how he played game 1, Lebron is fine. People are really overreacting over this injury. He will adjust. All greats do. I swear Monday's game by Bron is going to be so forgettable come Sunday evening.

Nobody even knew Lebron had an elbow until he went attention whoring with the lefty free throw. He rips Beantown for 35 in game one... the elbow is fine. He goes MIA down the stretch in game 2.... 3-day elbow watch in effect, with the media desperate for an elbow story.

If he shines in game 3.... elbow's fine and getting better. If the Cavs lose game 3... elbow might require immediate surgery and $tern is considering putting the playoffs on hold.

    Fuk the media.

This is exactly why this whole thing stinks of one huge fraud and the entire mainstream media and the slurping espn crew are complicit.

Sorry, at no point in this guy's career has he exhibited any form of extraordinary toughness whatsoever. NONE.

This is a ing sham. 3 mri's? Yeah, that third one is going to reveal something the first two didn't.

What the eff is so hard about accepting Lebron is hurt? Do people really think he's just going to let his team down for no other reason?

I don't particularly care for his star status, but he is the best player in the league, bar none. If he isn't producing, is it really because he's a coward? GMAFB.

This is what bothers me the most about the twisted Laker fanbase and Al-Quobe, other then the fact that they openly idolize a snitching rapist..

We have Laker fans in this thread that are calling out The King for "excuses" and playing up an injury..the irony hurts my balls..

OJ Bryant has more excuses made for him than any player in NBA history..he had arguably his best stretch of the season soon after his finger injury, yet every 5 minutes on ESPN, we still have to hear about how it's killing his game..OJ himself used it as an excuse in a Yahoo article, as mentioned in the other thread, pathetic..

If you go to a Laker forum, these people actually believe that ESPN and all media hate the Lakers..all refs hate the Lakers..David Stern is against the Lakers..it's like they live in some kind of bizzarro world..

    James tests elbow in practice
    By Tom Withers

Cavaliers star LeBron James will not undergo another planned MRI on his injured right elbow.

As James practiced Thursday before leaving for Boston, a team spokesman said doctors don’t feel an additional MRI is necessary “at this point.” Last week, an examination revealed that James has a strained elbow and bone bruise, an injury that has been bothering him for several weeks.

The team also tried to clear up confusion about the number of MRIs James has undergone. The team says he has only had one.

James has been resting and getting treatment on the elbow since Cleveland’s Game 2 loss. In that game, he scored 24 points but was unusually passive during long stretches. James has said the elbow occasionally gets numb.

No, every 5 minutes we hear about how old Kobe is. There's a huge distinction between playing with a huge splint on your shooting hand to complaining about an injured elbow that mri's show has nothing wrong with it.

It's just like Kobe's finger, ankles and whatever. Pussified drama queens. Preventive excuses for the case things don't go their way.

Garnett is questionable for game 3 and is playing with a foot strain + Perkins is injured + Pierce is playing through multiple injuries but I'm happy that they and the Celtics organization basically don't mention that stuff at all.

BS. Kobe and the Lakers themselves have never made an issue of his injuries. It's everyone else that talks about it. Please dude. Find me these rampant quotes of this organization talking endlessly about it. He's dismissed it every time it's been asked. Man you really have this twisted.

Like I said before, Lebron's 4th quarter domination of the ball is unhealthy for the team.

You don't build team confidence taking the ball up the court and going 1 on 5 for the last 5 minutes of every game. Why is anyone surprised the Cavs are choking?

Until LeBron learns to share those last 5 minutes of the game with his teammates during the regular season, they're going to be chokers when it counts (ie playoffs).
