Let's wait and see if he is a good coach, i haven't been all that impressed, maybe tonights blow out isn't helping. He's lucky tracy McGrady doen't know how to finish a playoff series.

If you have any lip reading ability at all, it wasn't hard to figure out what AJ said to Danny Crawford to get tossed.but it is shocking to see aj say something like that, if he did that is.
As for AJ, all he's proven in the playoffs so far is that with a team that's 9 players deep he can eek out a 7 game series against a team that goes two players deep.
Props to Avery, he falls on the sword for the team.
One thing pop I dont think has ever done.

Iceman had it right. AJ pulled a Pop. When Pop wants a "T" and he wants to go Serbian on the ref, he walks out onto the floor and interrupts play. It's happened more than once. Like Mentor, Like Mentee.

Are you all kidding? To be honest, I thought all along that Avery Johnson as head coach was some kind of joke. I do remember AJ and really did love him as a player, but I have been hard-pressed to think of him as head coach of a certified NBA team.
Maybe it's that horrible Louisiana twang that makes him seem less than he may very well be. That's one of an awful voice to have to listen to and you have to admit, it's hard to take him seriously - you always think he's telling some joke.

AJ isn't a spur anymore, skippy. He ran up the score on the Rockets. It's a rather low-class move. He's had two incidents where he's been ejected and fined by the league for berating an official in his first 8 playoff games as a coach. That's rather low-class. Let me reiterate, he's also the coach of a different team now. This is a sports discussion board. If you don't like sports opinions, you are in the wrong place.
