Is there anyone in the world actually named Harriston?
Yes. One Walter Harriston is named as a witness in a Knoxville criminal court case.

Parker is not going anywhere, he is staying, of course. I dont know why so many people, media included, are getting all hyped up with their rumors.

As for Parker always being honest, yeah thats very nice about Parker, he says what he thinks without bull , but not just him, the whole Spurs organisation. You should see his exit interview spursdotcom posted, its nice.

    Follow the logic.

    1) Spurs need new, young players that help NEXT year.

    2) New players ALWAYS "suck" in the first year as Spurs.

    HENCE......

Parker is going nowhere, it is quite evident.

The Spurs are following the path of Sloan' Jazz.

Always quite good, playoffs spot subscribers,
    but never THAT good anymore.

The only problem (not mine for sure) is that they are overspending to get in that position.

of course RC Buford is going to act like it's all outside teams that want to stir up Parker trade talk.

Is he supposed to acknowledge the opposite just to drive down Parker's value?

"Every new player that we had since I been here in San Antonio has always sucked the first year and they play better the second year," Parker said.
Mason and Udoka say hi, Tony!

This is an often repeated excuse for players who don't play well when it actually is not true at all. Look also at Robert Horry, Michael Finley or Rasho Nesterovic (who had his best year his first year with the team). Jefferson will probably never get it- some players just never do.

In a way he's right, I don't really see how RJ could play worse.

Would any of you guys be interested in a trade for Michael Beasley and maybe Carlos Arroyo or Marion Chalmers? It'd give us a young athletic power forward with a lot of upside to be the future of the team along with a good backup point guard for George Hill.

The key departures will be losing Mason, KB and Bonner.

We have to presume that no one will take Jefferson so we are looking at Duncan, TP, Manu, Jefferson, Hill, Blair, Dice if we get Splitter and Ian, we have taken care of our bigs. Harriston could take KB's spot. Hopefully they find a place for Temple and we have 11 players who I think could all contribute to the team. That leaves two spots, one will be a draft pick (I am presuming that the Spurs will be looking for a SF because that is what we need) and then an extra defender.

If the Spurs decide to make moves, they need to focus on shooters. This was probably the worst three point shooting team Duncan has had since Avery ran the PG.
This. If the let Mason and Bonner go, they have a tremendous lack of three point shooting (the playoffs showed this). As in, Hill and Manu are your only ones. You either have to hope one of those d-league signings (or Hairston) develops a 3-pt stroke (Gee, Jerrels, Temple) or find someone for the vet-min with a shot. The Spurs will spend most if not all the mid-level on Splitter.

Otherwise the Spurs will need to hevily revamp their offense to not rely so much on spacing and 3-pt shooting.

Jefferson, with the need to have the ball in his hands and with a suspect jump shot from 3, was never a fit for this team, as assembled, and never will be. I hope RC and the staff will see this and explore (if there are any) trad possibilities involving him and none of the big three. I don't think RC will be happy s ing out $10M+ to a player who may or may not 'get it' next year.

Why trade the youngest member of the core when he's still got some upside? I really think Tony can return to his '09 form. His return to that level plus the addition of Splitter, the drafting of a quality SF and the departure of Bogans and Mason will all improve this team next year.

I don't know what they should do with Jefferson, but it's obvious he's miscast on this team. He just isn't suited as a spot-up shooter with the ball being primarily in Parker, Ginobili and Duncan's hands.

Tp is all that you say yes, but unfortunately he is the only player on the roster that has enough trade value to get something of value. Love Tp and his game but this is about improving the overall team and not about individual players.

I'm with you that I wish Tp could stay and spurs could just deal RJ to improve the team, but no team in the right mind would just take RJ. He would have to be packaged with TP or else Spurs most likely are stuck with RJ.

Trading Parker would be an enormous mistake. Hill is a nice player but he was shredded by Nash and Dragic and is not capable of running the point for this team for more than a few games. He's NOT a point guard. Hopefully Temple will be valuable.

Tony is so undervalued and underappreciated by this city sometimes. I hope he wants to stay.
