It's really hard to vote for Shaq for all NBA defense when he is walking back up the floor while the other team is running a fast break...and he does it all the time...
Also hard to vote for Shaq when the Heat have to pull him at the end of tight games and insert Mourning so they can cover the pick and roll.

btw I like Wade but even his own teammates say Eddie Jones is the best perimeter defender on the team.

I'm shocked that AK47 got so many votes. He's awesome, and there's no denying his impact, but he missed a ton of games.
Yeah, but if he were not hurt, he would probably have won DPOY, so it is nice to at least acknowledge his defensive prowess

Again, Shaq does not make 1st team All Defense.

How can a player be considered dominant when he has never ever gotten on the 1st team All Defenseive Team????

Argentina is going to be upset that Manu didn't get nominated. He should've been a lock since he won the gold medal.

He did get nine points. By the same coaches who voted him into the All-Star game, but hey, what do they know?

Obviously at 4'3'' you know a lot more of basketball than them.

I agree that he probably would have won DPOY if he had stayed healthy.

^^^I would have picked Manu or Tony over Billups also. I think one of them has a good chance of making it next year. Manu did a great job on Allen/Lewis the other night and people seem to forget how Tony completely owned Iverson this season

Amare Stoudamire is not a terrible defender. It's not like he's Nash.

Since coaches aren't allowed to vote for their own players, I'd bet money that it was probably George Karl that voted for Amare.
