WTF?? Tim has made those shots time after time. like that happens, this is Tims team, he deserved the shot and got a good look it just didn't fall. There will be another day, sheesh is the bandwagon losing it wheels?
it was a good look but the shot wasn't close, bricked on the rim but i guess we should be happy we got a shot...even though no one is for good reason.
People in here want to talk about how seattle ain't but guess who just picked up confidence and momentum, spurs lost more than just this game. It's going to be a tough game 4 for the spurs

come on a big men should never be taking the last shot. its goes to a your swing man or someone who can hit a 3. everyone ing knows this
and ginobili shld have made ALL those crucial FTs
stop all the blaming!
The Spurs suck tonight. Period!![]()
the shot was on you guys stfu
it was just short
you cant expect duncan to hit that every time
i garuntee in 85 out of 100 parallel universes duncan hit that shot, but there has to be 15 of those universes in which duncan misses and unfortunately we are experiencing one of those fifteen
oh well
we're still going to stomp this lame ass team to the ground....
OwNaGe 2005 recognize biatch
God some of you guys are scorchingly stupid. "Don't go to the hall of famer with two MVPs and two rings. He sucks."
Horry couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat in the second half. Manu was too much of a pussy to go to the hole in the final three quarters of the game. Why would you expect him to do it at the end of the game when he didn't do it any other time? Duncan had good position and will make that shot more often than not. He was the only one being aggressive and the only one getting shots.
As opposed to the countless times Manu has won a game for us at the buzzer?
Only shot Manu would have made was a floater if he got enough space. If he took a fadeaway or jumper, he would have barely grazed rim.
it was a good look.. im not gonna complain. it didnt go in. thats all.
end of the story. now on to the next game! cant wait for the spurs to kick their ass!!!!!
Ginobili did take it to the basket on one play, and he got fouled in the face by James.
All our stars missed some free throws in the 4th. And we missed some shots where we had decent looks, but after all the mugging Seattle gave us, we were only one behind at the end and could have won if Tim makes that little shot he's so good at at the end.
We can still make this series a rout with a good win in the next game.
Ok so far Obstructed View and Shoogar Bear are with me
everyone else seems like they're peeing in their ing overalls
Why are we peeing in our overalls? Because we disagree with you? Talk about a lame take...
Look, I'll take Manu on the last play of the game. He's a lot more likely to either get the bucket or get fouled, go the lane and nut up for two free throws than a hobbling Tim Duncan who got the beat out of him all night by Fortson, James, Evans, Collison, and Potapenko.
Tim has a proven history of being completely worn out at the end of games where he gets beat on like tonight. And the first thing to go is his FT shooting, followed closely by any resemblance of a vertical.
I know all about Tim's credentials, thank you. I've also watched him enough to know when he's worn out at the end of games. Tonight was one of those nights.
tell me one game this season in which we have used a last possession opportunity to go for A FOUL (AND received that foul call) and i will seriously research into it and prove you wrong
just tell me the exact game ahf
I'm not saying it was a bad shot, but Duncan was shooting horribly in the 4th and couldn't hit a FT, so it was very possible that if he got any closer, they would've fouled Duncan and made him go to the line to win it.
I personally tonight would not want Duncan taking those FTs to win the game. He probably would've missed both the way he was playing.
there was 2.9 left,
you go to your best player, no brainer.
He makes it, its a great play, he misses it, its pop's fault, obviously.
WRONG u go to ur best shooter aka most clutch player aka manu ginobili
END OF DISCUSSION
Tpark, does
Even register with you? man, read.Tim Duncan who got the beat out of him all night by Fortson, James, Evans, Collison, and Potapenko.

Wow. The respect for the defense of Vitaly Potapenko in this forum staggers me...

[QUOTE=Aggie Hoopsfan]You're crazy. The shot before that he hit the side of the backboard.
And I can count the number of times Tim has won a game for us at the buzzer in the playoffs on one finger. I can't count the number of times Pop has pissed the game away by going to him.
Nice reasoning. How many games come down to the buzzer in the playoffs? Not many. Tim Duncan-Mvp, perennial All-Star Two time NBA champion and the unquestioned leader of the franchise...I'm guessing there aren't too many analysts or professionals who cover the game who would agree with your expert assessment of the last 2.9 seconds. But what does anyone else know? You are a dude on a message board who studies this . Good for you.
why read,Even register with you? man, read.
I already knew what youd posted before i even turned on the computer.
1. pop ed up
2, duncan getting the last shot is stupid
3 we need a FT coach pronto
spursfan,
when Manu Ginobili, becomes the best player on the team, then you go to him, till then,
Duncan is the Chise, you go to your CHISE, just like Seattle went to Allen at the end.
Its common in sense.
shouldn't pop have known he was drawing up a play for the chise, going up against the white Bruce bowen???The respect for the defense of Vitaly Potapenko in this forum staggers me...
FIRE HIM!!!
LOL. That's awesome!
ROFLMAO. Yeah. I'm sure Pop was thinking, "oh, . Duncan's going to get this one swatted.", especially after that two handed incredible hulk style foul by Potapenko in the first half.
Oh, dude you are killing me. I can't stop laughing.![]()
you can woulda shoulda coulda all you want.
99 out of 100 people will say, hey, your down 1, give it to your best player.
Its one of those if it goes down, yay and whew, if not, fire the coach.
2.9 is pretty quick for an inbound then for the inbounder to run and grab and get a solid jumper.
Horry had Rashard Lewis on him on the perimiter so his open shot was gone.
